Rico sat Weiter to his lifeless doll, sliding his flippers against her thin arms and sniffing her cool plastic scent. He began brushing her hair and cooing at her in hushed tones. She smile throughout the whole thing, her bright blue eyes glistening in Kowalski’s dim lamp.

Skipper was out doing recon, as he always did on Friday nights, his lazy smile scaring any animal that sneaked around in the zoo’s path. Private was with the lemurs, having his first sleepover with Mort, and Julien teaching them a couple of dance moves as well. And lastly, his best friend, Kowalski was at a grand central station, ready to go off to a scientist’s convention and hiding under benches and scraps of newspaper.

Rico smiled at the thought of his friends, getting closer to his doll Von the second. His smile faded when he remembered that he was going to be lonely the whole night. It was only 8:00 pm and he had 12 hours before Skipper and Private returned, and still having to wait for Kowalski because he would return Sunday morning.

He cuddled closer to his doll, trying to retain her warmth, but it was pretty hard considering that she was made of material, and had no flesh whatsoever. He let out a dull sigh and hugged his doll, which Julien had named Carlotta. A tear escaped his eye unconsciously. It dribbled down his beak and dripped onto her legs. He looked at the sparkling gem and wondered why that had happened. He was not feeling sad at all. Maybe he was feeling a little deserted, but not sad.

He smirked when he noticed what he was doing to himself. He was lying and cheating himself. He knew that he was sad, Mehr than sad, even. He didn’t know EXACTLY what was causing this. It was partly the fact that he was feeling secluded, but he didn’t know what else.

At least I have Carlotta to keep me company. He thought as he wiped a tear from his eyelids before it slipped out.

“If it doesn’t escape the eye, its not tears.” Skipper always sagte to cheer them up when they were feeling down. Rico thought that this was a good time to use this example. Only ONE tear hear had ran down his cheeks. He felt brave.

Rico kissed his Puppen cheek.

“Love?” Rico whispered into her ears that where just shaped, but had no ear canal.

She smiled. Rico waited for his answer patiently. He knew that women needed their time when the word Liebe was used. About 5 Minuten passed, Rico had began tapping his flipper on a block of concrete. He was tired of waiting.

He laid his head on her heart. He began weeping quietly when he noticed that she had not heart. Nothing at all. He looked up at her, still smiling. He grabbed her and tossed her aside. He was upset.

“Rico?” A soothing voice said.

Rico looked over at his doll. He began shaking nervously. For the first time, she had spoken to him. He smiled and waddled over to his doll. He picked her up.

“LOVE?” Rico began shaking he violently, but with passion, excited that his doll probably loved him back. Is this possible? Could she Liebe me? The Frage raced in his mind.

“Uh…sure?” The voice answered, a bit confused.

Rico noticed the voice was not coming from his doll. He turned around and found that the voice was coming from none other than Marlene, who was peeking from behind the door, a puzzled look on her face.

“Marlene?” Rico had his eyes wide opened, trying to make out the figure in the dark. He had never been so glad to see her. He thought that she could probably understand him better, since she was a girl. He was a bit disappointed because his doll wasn’t talking, but this was good, too.

“Uh, yeah.” Marlene stopped hiding from behind the door and walked towards Rico. “I was pretty bored Home and I was wondering if I could borrow some of Skipper’s fashion magazines.” She smirked a little, but she shook it off and returned to the worried look on her face. “But…You aren’t ok. Is there anything Du want to talk about?”

Rico nodded and Marlene sat Weiter to him, her paw patting his back and smiling brightly at him. She knew that a smile could make everything better.

“I’m listening.” She waved her paw, signaling him to go on.

“Doll. No love. No talk. No heart. Me lonely. Me no love.” Rico slouched and a tear slipped from his eye. He frowned at it as it landed on Marlene’s fur. He wiped off quickly, angry at himself for crying a little in front of Marlene. She would never see him the same.

“Ok…Let me see what I understood. Your doll can’t love, she doesn’t talk, she has no heart? And Du are lonely and no one loves you?” Marlene had a bit of Frage in her voice, but mostly understanding. She wanted to hug him. He looked like a helpless baby to her eyes, unlike most of the time.

“Uh-huh.” He squeaked. He knew Marlene would try to comfort him.

“Well don’t think that!” Marlene hopped from her place, talking loudly, proudly and encouragingly. “People Liebe you! What about Skipper? His team couldn’t function with all your weapons and gismos! Kowalski? He needs materials to make inventions! Private? He sees Du as a role model! He loves Du truly! And well, me? I probably would of never talked to the other penguins if it wasn’t for you. Remember when I first got here? I saw all of you. I was pretty shy. But I got the urge to speak up because I thought it was pretty cool the way Du coughed up things! I wanted to learn Mehr about that. So if it wasn’t for you, I would not have any friends. I was introduced to Julien Von Du guys. Face it. I would be helpless.” Marlene was talking like the women that encourage people to “Pilot their own life.”

Rico was amazed Von what Marlene had said. He thought it was sweet of her trying to Zeigen him how much people loved him…but instead, she was kind of Wird angezeigt him that people only liked him because of material reasons. The loved him just like he loved his doll. He loved her because she was quite beautiful. He also loved her because he thought that she would be the only female to ever Liebe him.

“Marlene. Stuff. No Liebe me. Liebe stuff.” He looked at Marlene, tears running down his face.

Marlene’s herz was broken when she saw Rico crying. She felt as if she would never be happy ever again. It was the first time that she had seen him so…broken. She wanted to cry along with him, but she didn’t want to make him worse either. She got a little closer to him and gave him a side hug.

“No Rico. People DO Liebe you. Not your stuff. I bet that if Du couldn’t do that, Du would still be loved.” Marlene whispered, tears beginning to run down her cheeks as well.

Rico thought that she was just kidding. People would never Liebe him. He was abnormal, and he had to admit that. But something about Marlene’s voice told him that she did Liebe him. And when he thought about it, so did most people. He smiled at her, happy that she had fixed his problem. He hugged back.

“Thank you.” Rico said, his voice sounding a lot smoother than other times.

“You’re welcome.” Marlene smiled as she got up. “Now, can I borrow the magazines oder what?”

Rico dashed to the restroom and picked up 10 magazines.

“ALL YOURS!” He squawked, holding the magazines as Blumen and smiling brightly. Marlene giggled and took the “flowers” in her paws.

“Thanks.” Her smile growing wider as she walked out of the habitat.

Rico looked at the door for 5 minutes, until he finally noticed that Marlene was gone. He shook his head and went to his bunk. He thought it would be nice to take a nap and not get any lonesome thoughts in his head. He fluttered his eyes until they closed and dozed off to sleep.
Petting Zoo

There was a fight going on. The Blue Hen was thawed out faster than Steve Rogers and challenged Kowalski to a fight of brains and brawns. The whole zoo was able to watch while Alice was kept busy.
When the fight was going on, as much as Kowalski tried to prevent it, he was getting beaten in places that a pinguin didn't want to get beaten. It was a horrifying sight, but the most horrified was Monique, she even tried to keep herself from crying.
When Monique called a time out, the Blue Hen turned around feeling pretty confident about a possible victory.
"Seems like she's still expecting...

Kowalski didn't know what was wrong with him. Obviously, Skipper's jokes on what he believes is wrong with him never helped at all.
Every night, Kowalski has the same dream, and he couldn't tell if it was from his "subconscial visiting pill" oder not. In the dream, he's in the streets of the concrete jungle face to face with a young woman, who appeared to be a tomboy with wacky hair and glasses, they smile at each other as their faces brighten up in the moonlight and the straße lights. He'd feel her hair and rub his hand down her cheek, making her blush, and she'd gently pushed some of his short,...

Dream

It was a quiet Tag in the HQ. It might've even seemed too quiet for some and that "some" wasn't Skipper. To Kowalski, something didn't seem right.
He left the HQ for a while and looked around the zoo and everyone was present in the zoo. All except for one: Monique. He double checked the zoo, he even triple checked. She didn't say anything about leaving and she's talked to Kowalski about a lot.
What was also amazing was that no one else seemed to notice her disappearance except for him. Not even Skipper, and he always his parttime blood shot, highly trained eyes on everything. Kowalski had...

Bridge

They were on different sides while it was burning. Both unable to see the other's face, they had tears slowly crawling out of their eyes, not just from the destruction of the bridge, but from the fact that there's no way they can be back together again.

The Distance
Kowalski's busy in his room Schreiben on his clipboard and although he felt tired, he couldn't take a nap. Everytime he closed his eyes, all he could see is Monique sitting Weiter to him and turning her head to see him. The bad thing about it is that it reminds him that she's no longer with him. He finished his Schreiben on his clipboard,...

(Elizabeth’s POV)

After eleven hours of labor, my son was born. The Sekunde I heard the beautiful sound of his crying my herz seemed to stop. I watched as the doctor wrapped my little Ryan in a soft blue blanket. He walked over with holding my baby, then brought his face mask down from over his face. I tried to gasp, but ended up choking on my own breath. My eyes seemed to grow 10x wider at the site of Hans holding my Ryan. He grinned evilly. “You want him? Du know what Du have to do.” He left the room laughing, taking Ryan with him, who started crying again. I was numb...

“Kowalski, analysis” sagte Skipper, leader of the penguins team.
“I think we have got all… Rico?” sagte tall penguins Kowalski, who was a scientist.
Rico checked his stomach, which was a magazine of theirs weapons. He nodded.
“So we can go” sagte Kowalski.
“Ok, everybody are ready?”
“Yes, sir” sagte three penguins.
“Operation: Blowhole, start… now” sagte Skipper and all penguins went out of their HQ.
“How we get to Blowhole?” asked young pinguin Private.
“We can go Von subway”
Penguins went to New York city town and get to the subway. In subway weren’t any people, so...

Skipper opened his eyes, he was underground in narrow tunnel.
“Are Du alright, boys?” he said.
“I’m here” sagte Private, who lay in the rubble. Skipper helped him to stand.
“Are Du ok, Private?”
“I think yes”
“Kowalski! Rico!”
“I’m here, Rico too” they heard voice from the other side of tunnel. They were separate Von avalanche of debris.
“I was training Du for situation like that” sagte Skipper and helped Kowalski and Rico to Löschen stones.
“Whe a we?” asked Rico when they deleted stones, what mean: where are we?
“I don’t know Rico, somewhere underground” said...

Kowalski sighed. All Skipper did while Private had left was complain. That night, he was extremely crabby, and when Skipper's not happy, no one dares to be happy oder even tries. Well, it all seemed to be over, since he was heading to bett so that made the tension on Kowalski ease up.
"Rico, make sure Skipper stays in bed." Kowalski whispered to his compadre. Rico nodded virgorously. Skipper was lying down, drinking milch from his mug. Skipper's eyelids grew heavy under his sleeping cap. His eyes blinked for extra seconds.
Rico lightly placed Skipper's mobile over his leader's bunk. He hit each...

Monique was looking out the window with a sign of sorrow on her face. It has been at least 3 years since she left New York to fulfill her dream in California to sing, but it felt like longer. She was a bit homesick, but she mostly missed Kowalski. Sure they talk on the phone from time to time when they're both free, but it's not the same. She looked up at the stars, wondering what would be the right thing to do.
Just then, her phone was ringing. Kowalski was calling and she managed to answer.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Monique. It's me."
"I know it's you, Kowalski. How was your day?"
"Let's see, malfunctioning...

Private's Frage stung. It seemed as if she hadn't anticipated him asking. She closed her eyes and reminisced painfully. A bitter taste formed in her beak. It was like she could feel the cold hands grasping her again.
"Scientists," She answered simply, covering up her past.
"What intentions would they have in caging up a pinguin in a lab for years?" Private wondered naïvely. Skipper elbowed Kowalski in the ribs.
"Uh… I'll explain later, Private." Kowalski said.
"No, it's fine. Du see, there are some scientists. Evil scientists, who test chemicals out on animals. Sometimes, like in my case,...

The men storm in. I peek from under the dangling sheets under my bed. They teilt, split up.
"We know you're in here, kid. If we have to come, and find Du it's going to be a very long and painful death." He warns, and inches closer to the bed. "You're hiding like a coward, but we'll gut Du like a fish!" He says slicing the sheet.
No one's there. I breathe a sigh of relief from beneath the other bed. I hear them march out. As I wriggle out from under the bed.
A strange feeling of heat touches my face. In the corner, is a glowing light. I stagger over, following the hot light. There I see something...

I call it the Parallel Zapper."Prince Gumball sagte as he ran to the living room. He plugged it and a portal appears. "Are Du sure this is safe?" Cake asked. "Of course it is. "Hey! Are Du okay?" Fahlcon crouched low to avoid gunfire, and ran to the man on the ground hidden behind a slope clutching his shoulder. Once he got to him, he lied his gun down and examined his wound. It was deep. He couldn't even see the bullet. Blood covered his entire shoulder and he was sweating. There was sign of infection. "What's your name soldier?" Fahlcon asked. "Hans...Hans Gruber." The man answered. He spoke with a Danish accent. He had dark hair and hazel eyes. Fahlcon swung his gewehr on his back and helped him up. Half carrying him, he managed to get...

Finally the lights flashed on, and without having any contact with the door, Skipper and Private witnessed it slam open before their own eyes. "Come on," Skipper said. "No, no, I can't go in there! No!" Private whined like he was in a trance. Skipper grasped his flipper, and dragged him inside. Skipper kept his grip tight until he found Kowalski and Rico Von the stairs. "Are Du both all right?!" Skipper asked startled. "Yes, but something happened in the basement." Kowalski sagte out of breath. "All right, Rico, take Private upstairs and keep an eye on him. Kowalski, you're coming with me."...

Chapter 8

Skipper made his way into the Clock Tower, and just like the last time he was there in the normal castle, a quick flash of light came and went and the fingers on the clock both started to move. They both landed on the six, which was on the oben, nach oben instead of the bottom due to everything in the schloss being in reverse. And just like the last time, it rang thirteen times. Dong…dong…dong…dong…dong…dong…dong…dong…dong…dong… dong…dong…dong. The floor opened and Skipper made his way up. When he arrived he found an elevator just like the last time, but instead of going...

He was still in the thron room so he will have to figure out a way to get to the dark priest. But then he saw a pinguin with the same outfit he was wearing. Skipper ran to the penguin, and when he got closer he saw his face. It was his face. It was Skipper! A clone of Skipper has been made, obviously to take the real Skipper’s place and be evil. Skipper took out his sword, and the evil Skipper took...
