“There it is. Right up that road. Are Du sure this is gonna work?” Amanda asked.

“Absolutely. Hans is gonna wish he’d never done this to you. He’ll be eating right out of your hand.” Skipper answered. Amanda smiled and put her ear com in.

10 Minuten Later

Amanda walked up to the door of the small mansion, and knocked. A man answered with, “Amanda? Is Hans expecting you?” Amanda looked at him with craze and hatred in her eyes. “He’d better be. Let me in.”

“Hold on, let me get permission to-”

Amanda shut him up Von whipping out the dagger and putting its tip at his throat. “I don’t think that will be necessary. Do you?” The man gulped and opened to door for her. She took two steps in, sagte “Much obliged.” then marched forward. She didn’t need to ask where he was. The team had tapped into the security footage and gave her his location. She was gonna scare the truth out of him. Make him beg for mercy.

She was walking down a long hallway on the Sekunde floor when two guards appeared. She whipped out the small dart gun Rico had gegeben her and put a dart in both of them. They dropped instantly. Amanda smiled deviously as she approached the large double doors at the end of the hallway. She took a deep breath, and slowly pushed them open.

Hans, who was looked through some files, spoke without looking up. “I’m busy.”

Amanda stood in the doorway, feet apart, the dagger clutched tightly in her hand, murder in her eyes. Finally Hans looked up. At the sight of her he closed his file and rose. “Amanda? How did Du get in here?”

Amanda stepped in and shut the door behind her…locking it. Hans looked at the dagger in her hand and gulped.

“Wh…wh-what are Du doing here?” Hans stuttered. He leaned against his schreibtisch on the palm of his hands. Amanda raised the dagger and brought it down to the schreibtisch with force; the blade wedged itself into the wood…right in between Hans’s fingers.

This action caused Hans to jump. His hands jerked back and he landed in his chair. Amanda ripped the dagger up out of the wood, walked around the schreibtisch and leaned into Hans’s face. Hans gulped again, eyes wide with fear.

“You know why I’m here.” Amanda sagte sternly.

“Now Amanda, let’s not do anything we’ll regret here…” Hans sagte nervously, finger tracing the edge of his desk. Amanda used the flat side of the blade to push his hand away from the desk. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” She grabbed the arms of the office chair and pushed it to the center of the room. She raised the dagger and threw it at him. Hans looked at the dagger wedged in the back of the chair, inches from his head, then back to Amanda as she hissed: “You killed my son.”

Hans tried to free the dagger from the chair, but it was also wedged into the internal furnished wood, so it was no use. However, Amanda, infuriated, ripped the dagger free in one yank. She grabbed his hemd, shirt and pulled his face not even an inch from hers and said: “Don’t worry…this will only hurt…a lot.” She pulled him from the chair and almost pushed Hans to the ground but he caught himself. He stood upright and tried to reason with her.

“Now Amanda, Du don’t know what you’re doing!”

“I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I’M DOING! How can Du live with yourself!?!”

“Now Amanda, I know how Du must be feeling, but-”

“You have no idea how I’m feeling right now.”

She stepped closer to him, grabbed the side of his neck and pushed him to the ground. “I’m stronger than I look Hans. Don’t think for a Minute that I won’t break your arm before Du even have time to blink!” She kicked his chest to make him lay on his back, and got on oben, nach oben of him. She gently ran the blade across his cheek in a shaving motion. “I wonder how you’d look without a face.” She sagte through clenched teeth.

“He’s not dead!” Hans screamed in terror. Amanda laughed.

“You fool. Du expect me to believe that?”

    “It’s true!”

“If its true then why did Du lie to me?”

“Because I wouldn’t have been able to let him talk to you! I had to change the plan! I thought you'd get the team to come with you! Please Amanda!"

"If he's truly not dead then where is he?!"

"He's gone! He escaped! I had some people looking for him! Du have to believe me!"

"Why should I?!"

"Because despite everything I've put Du through I still Liebe Du Amanda!" Amanda sagte nothing. She kept staring at him with a straight face. Hans continued. "I don't expect Du to believe me. But I was never going to harm our son. The Minute I saw him for the first time I could see Du in him. Du know he has your eyes? I miss seeing your beautiful blue eyes Du know."

"I guess that's your loss then." She stood up, turned around, and left. Hans sat up and slammed his fist to the floor in defeat.

While she was with Hans, the team had taken out the rest of the guards. She met them outside.

(Kowalski) "Amanda, are Du alright?"

"I'm fine. Let's go find my son."

(Private) "He could be anywhere in New York Von now!"

"I don't care."

------------------------------------------------------

They'd searched for hours...without luck. Kowalski and Amanda were searching Manhattan. Skipper and Private New York City. Rico and Marlene Queens.

Kowalski and Amanda were now in Central Park.

"Don't worry Amanda, we'll find him." He assured her. Amanda sat down on a bench and began crying.

"But he could be anywhere! He's probably in an alley somewhere...cold...alone...scared..." Kowalski sat down Weiter to her and wrapped his arms around her. Amanda buried her face into his chest and wept. Kowalski gently stroked her hair, and realized that dye was coming off in his hands. He looked at her hair which was gradually turning blonde.

"I didn't know your hair was blonde." Amanda picked up her head and looked at the light brown on his shirt.

"Sorry. It usually doesn't come off this early." She took her bun out and Kowalski watched her hair flowing in the wind. She took her sweater and wiped off some of the running dye. She was about to re-bun it but Kowalski gently grabbed her arm.

"I think Du should leave it down. Du have such beautiful hair." Amanda smiled, but only for a second. Kowalski held her again, and ran his fingers through her long hair.

After a few Minuten of silence, Amanda got to her feet hopefully as she took notice of Skipper, Private, Rico, and Marlene approaching. But she did not see her son with them.

"I'm sorry. None of us have had any luck." Skipper sagte sorrowfully.

"Maybe we can try again tomorrow." Marlene said.

"No, I want to keep looking."

"Amanda, it's eleven 'o' clock at night. Du need to rest."

"I don't want to rest until I-" She looked past then in shock. The others turned to look. Amanda pushed through them. There, about twenty yards away, stood Hans...and Ryan.

Ryan looked up at Hans, as if asking for permission to go. Hans nodded. Ryan, in his dirty clothes, messy hair, and unlaced shoes, raced forward. Amanda fell to her knees, arms open and tears welling in her eyes. Ryan fell into her arms. Amanda held him tightly as she cradled him. "Oh Ryan, are Du okay?"

"I'm fine! What happened?"

"Don't Du worry about it. You're safe, sicher now and that's all that matters." She looked at Hans over his shoulder. He was watching them with his hands in his pockets.

Amanda gently pushed Ryan off of her. "I'll be right back." She told him pushing a lock of hair out of his eyes. He nodded. Amanda stood up and walked over to Hans, arms crossed.

She stood in front of him for a moment in silence, and he said: "My men found him."

"This still doesn't change anything."

Hans took a deep breath and said: "I know. I don't expect it to."

Amanda hesitated before saying: "Thank you."

Hans nodded, looked past her at his son and said: "He's a good boy. You've done well." He paused for a moment, and concluded: "Goodbye Amanda."

"Bye Hans." With that, Hans turned and left without another word. Without looking back. Amanda returned to her son, put her arm around him, and the six of them went back to the apartment building.

Amanda and Kowalski stood out on the terrace talking.

"Why do Du have to leave?"

"Because, Kowalski, Du need your team Mehr than Du need me. Du don't need someone to tie Du down. Especially when I have Ryan to think about."

"Where will Du go?"

"I don't know. Maybe back to NYC. Ryan's Friends are there. And so is my career." Kowalski took her hand.

"You don't have to do this."

"Yes I do. I'm sorry Kowalski. I'll be around."

"I'll never forget Du Amanda."

"And I won't forget you. I wish there was something I could do to Zeigen Du how grateful I am for everything you've done for me."

"How 'bout a KISS goodbye?" Amanda smiled, gently grabbed his collar, and pulled him closer until their lips met. She pulled away first.

"Goodbye Kowalski."

"Goodbye Amanda." With that Amanda turned and entered her apartment. A few Minuten later Kowalski saw her down in the straße getting into her car. She looked up and saw him there. She waved. Kowalski waved back and watched as the car drove away.

Skipper appeared at his side. "Sorry amigo."

"'Sokay. I'll see her again one day." Skipper smiled sympathetically and patted his back, then went back inside.

----------------------------------------------------

"So who was that man mom?" Ryan asked from the passengerside seat. Amanda smiled.

"He's just a friend, Ryan. A really good friend."

Blazing Love

-NYFD, 2300 Hours

An alarm rang, the feuer men sprang to the pole and slid down to the 1st floor. And most immediately went to the feuer trucks. One ran to another.

“What's the diagnoses?” One fireman asked

“A feuer at the Central Park Zoo.” The other said.

The first fireman lowered his head, closed his eyes, and sighed in disappointment. “Jesus, people trying to kill Tiere these days?”

“I don't know if that was the cause of the problem.” Then he started to run towards a firetruck. Then he turned and put his arms out towards the fireman. “But there's only one way to...

[Skipper]

Septenber 3, 2019.

It was peaceful...too peaceful. Normaly I'd hear Julien dancing to Musik as usual. But then again, I was gone for 9 years. Maybe he'd changed...well, Du never know.

The zoo was the same as when I left it. Exactly the same. Except there is no one crying and begging me to stay. And yes, that was my team who was crying and begging.

I wonder if they missed me. Do they still remember me?...I thought to myself. Maybe I'm just a distant memory to them. I sent them letters, but they never send any back. Don't they know that I'm comming? Maybe they're angry at me for leaving....

Skipper barged into the pinguin HQ, Kowalski still close behind, his head hung low with dejection. The first thing he noticed was Private lying on the table, bandaged, bruised, and unconscious, with Rico hovering around him.

He made a B-line to where the young pinguin lay and visually assessed his injuries. After deciding that his wounds although serious, weren’t life threatening, Skipper demanded to know what happened.

Kowalski began to explain how Private had climbed the baum to rescue the kitten, how he was so close to saving sagte kitten, and how the branch gave out under his weight. His...

Skipper’s eyes slowly opened; his vision still blurry from sleep. He blinked twice to regain his focus. For a Sekunde he forgot where he was, he wasn’t in his bunk, and he wasn’t in the HQ. A brown figure lying Weiter to him caught his attention. It was Marlene. He remembered telling her he would spend the night, knowing that his team could take care of themselves. He shrugged and returned back to a prone position and went back to sleep.

Fifteen Minuten later he awoke again, but this time to the smell of fisch coffee brewing on the table. He sat up and put his face in his flippers and let...

Three days passed and Skipper finally decided that the late night training exercises were not doing anyone any good. No one really knew why he had come to this conclusion, but perhaps he thought it was affecting Kowalski’s mind, as Kowalski had changed throughout the last three days.

Kowalski used to hate Musik and generally only tolerated it if it was soft and not repetitive and annoying. Now, he already listened to every record the penguins owned and even played them while he was fiddling with an invention. On Tag three, he finally packed up all of his inventions and threw them into a corner,...

Skipper had taken his time to get back from Marlene’s so he could piece together the best words to explain his and Marlene’s relationship, especially to young Private.

He entered through the fishbowl entrance as he usually would, and turned to face his team. Much to his surprise the three were standing facing him, almost as if they expected him.

“Skipper I believe there’s something Du need to tell these two.” Kowalski stated as he motioned his flipper first towards Rico then Private. The two of the stared at Skipper anxiously, waiting to hear what Kowalski was talking about.

“Yea...

Unfortunate for the Suchen to conclude in failure. Of course, one couldn’t complain when two of the three penguins that engaged the mission had been lacking in effort. The third penguin, Rico, had found something rather interesting. A gray crowbar partially stained with blood of seemingly unknown origin. Normally, the explosives expert tended to schlucken any sort of object that sparked his interest, which, in this case, was so.

Now, at this point, Skipper and Kowalski really didn’t care for Private’s case, much to the small penguin’s delight. And then, typically, life went on as it had,...

In fact, that night, Private had much difficulty in falling asleep. Simply the thought of a friend who was in need prevented the pinguin from sleeping. He wondered if Rico was awake, too. He certainly hoped not. Private only wished the best for the regurgitating penguin.

Suddenly, a noise from below grasped Private’s full attention. On first inspection, it was difficult to determine what the sound was. Luckily, Private merely turned his head to the side and caught the perfect glimpse of Rico’s back. The heavyset pinguin was slowly heading towards the television. This baffled Private, for...

Despite the fact that it was well early in the morning, the injured Private was gegeben a few hours to himself for rest and recovery. Skipper stayed true to his word, being sure as to give Private his privacy throughout the entire day. Having done this, the leader also granted the rest of the team absolute freedom for the day. Hopefully, this would give the other penguins some time to themselves. After Private’s unexpected disappearance, it was probably for the best.

Taking advantage of these moments, Kowalski chose to sit in a corner of the room, Schreiben all of his thoughts on his notepad....

Chapter 2: "Career Change"

Liz glanced at her daughter in the back sitz through the rearview mirror of her silver Subaru Outback. "So, have Du named your little Friends yet?"

"Yes." Chelsea held Skipper up. "This is Mr. Penguin." And then held up Marlene. "And this is Mrs. Penguin."

"No, no, sweetie. The brown one is an otter. Remember the story I told Du in the gift shop?"

"I know she's an otter, Mom. But she changed her name when she got married."

Marlene yawned. “Thanks for taking me to that Enrique Guitaro concert, guys,” she sagte to the penguins as they drove her home. “It went a lot better than last time. And going backstage? That was”—she yawned again as if she hadn’t slept in days—“really awesome,” she finished.

Skipper chuckled from his place to the right of her. “I don’t think staying up all the way to one in the morning is a good idea for you.”

Marlene shook her head. “No, no, I’m awake.” She fought off another yawn and rubbed her eyes. “Tack as a sharp.”
