A Manga is a japanese comic book, read from the opposite direction of American Bücher and their cover is on the oppsite side, which would be the back to us. The Maximum Ride comic series is actually called a Graphic Novel since it is based off the original novels and it indeed not a Manga becauseit is read right to left and the cover is facing the direction that American Bücher are faced.
Du wouldn't call it a "manga book" you'd simply call it manga. Manga is Japanese comic books, read from right-to-left. Some versions may be Americanized and read from left-to-right, like Maximum Ride. Manga is pronounced (mon-ga), and is mainly printed in black and white.
