Du Favorit Anime that was NOT originally a manga?

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (Originally a light novel) and CODE GEASS: Lelouch of the Rebellion (Original Anime series) would have to be my favorites.

(:D) We're in the same boat. Serial Experiments Lain is in fact one of the few Anime series that I would feel comfortable regarding as a "masterpiece", and I personally find it to be one of the most beautiful series that I have encountered. I can even "connect" (that was a pun alright) to the series personally in its meaning because I've been struggling with addiction to the internet / computer and making it a "world of its own" in my life.

Serial Experiments Lain is my favourite Anime of all time. It's beautiful and I re-watch it all the time. I really Liebe Lain and relate to her Mehr than any other Anime character. My hair is actually like hers too, except it's long at the back. Everyone needs to see this Anime before they die.

I was unaware that Code Geass was an original anime... But, as that's already posted... The Legend of Legendary Heroes, which (I think) was originally a lite-novel series.
