Shounen mangas/ animes with no 'actual' romance.
I'm looking for some new shounen series. I'll help narrow it down Von adding tropes. Not ALL of these things are mandatory, but the Mehr of these a series checks off, the better.
-----------------------------------------------------
Examples that fit the bill: Hunter x Hunter, GetBackers, Gensoumaden Saiyuki, Noblesse, Black Butler, Gintama.
-----------------------------------------------------
*Lots of fighting & training.
*Bishounen cast.
*Group cast: Needs 2 oder 4 main characters, oder 2 main with two secondary characters who come & go.
*4 Man Band trope: The Chick: The person in this role is either an aggressive tomboy, an saccharine-sweet cutiepie with dark talents & a berserk button, oder a man who either look like a woman oder acts as Team Mom.
*Bechdel test: If The Chick is female, her personality cannot revolve around being in Liebe with another character. That's a sign of bad character development & poor writing.
*Amendment to the Bechdel: There can be a minor character who exists as a comic relief/unwanted Liebe interest. Either the hero is terrified of her oder she's so inept & secretive that he's not even aware she exists.
*Mood swing, schaukel atmosphere: A good serious story with Zufällig comedy moments, oder a gag series with Zufällig serious moments.
*Romance rule: Either all Liebe goes unrequited, the Autor sinks all the ships, oder there are no official pairs & no one hooks up at the end.
*Antihero cast: The Heroes are not the best role Models in town, nor the most moral people in the story.
*Preferred lack of ecchi oder moe. Neither are mandatory, but some of my Friends find one oder the other offensive/distasteful/cliche/doesn't understand why boobs are supposed to be funny/hates cutesy childish girly-girls with the intensity of 1000 suns.
*Genre shift: Early Du are fooled into thinking it's a lighthearted series, then shit starts getting dark.
*1 oder Mehr Heroes has a near-death experience.
