It seems like every main character these days has a tragic past of some sort. Hmm Rin from Mnemosyne has kind of a tragic past. She's immortal so she sees many of her loved ones and Friends die all the time (except for Mimi since she's immortal too). And she "dies" all the time and has experienced many forms of torture. That's pretty tragic right? (This is my Favorit pic of her <3)

Dunya-chan & Isaac-kun from Magi - The Labyrinth of Magic have a very tragic past. :'(

Dunya is the former princess of the Mustashim kingdom while Isaac is her knight. 10 years prior to the story, her kingdom was taken over Von magic users known as Magnoshutatt who called for the execution of the royal family. She watched as many of her family members and loved ones were brutally slaughtered. Isaac did his best to transport the young princess over the border to safety but luck wasn't on their side. They were caught Von the magic users and some of the former royal knights who had changed sides just to save their butts. Dunya watched as they brutally killed Isaac.

At first the two had an older brother-younger sister relationship. But overtime they slowly developed romantic feelings for each other. The two knew that they could never be together from the start because Dunya was soon to be wed to a neighboring archduke. *cries* ;A;

I choose Nakamura Yuri because when she was alive she has a 3 siblings 2 girls and one boy and her family was a rich family and one Tag they have work to do so they went to other place suddenly the robbers came in and as the oldest Yuri think is her job to protect the younger one . The robbers were after their valuables and ask Yuri to bring them and they say they will kill her siblings every 5 Minuten and in the end she found a vase but it is to heavy but she is determine to bring it and suddenly she fell down the stairs and after some time the police came and she was the only one left

Zero Kiryu from Vampire Knight.

His parents were Vampire Hunters and him and his twin brother, Ichiru, were being groomed to become Vampire Hunters when they were older as well. His parents had recently killed a Level E Vampire (A Human turned Vampire that eventually goes insane) and the Vampire's mate, an extremely powerful Pure Blood Vampire (The highest ranking and most powerful class of Vampire's) sought revenge on them. She killed Zero's parents, took his brother captive, and bit him. Only Pure Blood Vampire's have the ability to turn humans into Vampire's, but as I stated before, they always dwindle into Level E and become insane. So she bit him to give him something worse than death to him, becoming a vampire and knowing he will eventually completely lose his mind.

Lucy from Elfen Lied she was an orphan her only friend betrayed her, her welpe was killed, she though that the boy she liked betrayed her also, she was locked for years hated and tortured Von her memories.

Alice was conceived Von Lacie and born in the Abyss as a human 100 years Vor along with her twin
sister The Will of the Abyss. She was locked up in a tower Von Glen (Oswald) and excluded from the rest of the world because Glen felt it was his responsibility to take care of her. One Tag Jack Vessalius returned to the tower on the Baskervilles grounds with Revis and met Alice. The two of them became Friends and Jack would often visit Alice to play with her. One day, Jack brought Gilbert and Vincent with him to meet Alice, though it didn't go over well as Alice immediately made fun of Vincent's red eye for bringing misfortune, this caused Gil to get mad at Alice and then pull her hair. This made Vincent hate Alice, not because of what she sagte about his eye,
but because she upset Gil, and made Jack regret his choice. One day, he delivered Alice her cat with the eyes cut out, making Jack worry. During Jack's many visits, he would notice something off about Alice. Seemingly, every other Tag she'd switch personalities, being light and happy one day, the Will, and dark and sinister the next. This also troubled Jack.
Then one day, Glen took Gilbert from Jack because 100 years had passed since he inhabited a new body, and so he needed a new one. Jack couldn't change Glen's mind, and initially made Glen recall Lacie, making him threaten Jack if he did not leave. Alice had heard from Jack that Gil was taken Von Glen and was going to be killed and reinhabited Von Glen; she told Vincent of this one Tag while he was frantically searching for his older brother. Vincent managed to stop the Ceremony before Glen could transfer Raven into Gil's body and before Gil could be killed, meaning that Glen's 100 Jahr old body would die. Soon after The Tragedy of Sablier broke out for reasons still unclear. Alice was murdered during the Tragedy of Sablier, but no one knows who killed her, although it is hinted that Vincent Nightray was the culprit. But after she was killed as a human she and the Will of the Abyss broke their connection with the human-world when they used Alice's body to switch souls every day. The other Alice, known as B-Rabbit, came to the Abyss but not to The Will of the Abyss, the Core. Instead, she came to the lower level where chains and illegal contractors came. After a while in the Abyss, as Du know people turn into chains and Alice turned into B-Rabbit oder rather, merged with B-Rabbit as B-Rabbit existed 100 years prior as a separate being.

As a Chain
Alice apparently had numerous Contractors throughout the Weiter century, but sooner oder later she slaughtered them and returned to the Abyss, it is unknown why she did so. However, in the first episodes in the anime, it is revealed that Alice has never contracted anyone before meeting Oz. Alice was in the Abyss when she heard the melody of the Pocket Watch after Oz Vessalius opens it and feels as though someone is calling out to her.

Orihime inoue, her parents abused her and called her names and treated her like the worst piece of garbage....until she was about I think 13 oder 14 and her brother took her away, then he died and left her all alone o-o which is why she is how she is now.

Iwasawa-san from Angel – Jäger der Finsternis Beats! Her parents were always fighting she had to hear that almost every Minute of the Tag and she had nowhere else to go and then once they were out of the ordinary violent and ended up hurting her oder something like that and then one Tag she came across a band and she felt like they were Singen about her and how she felt...

Mikaru from Mermaid Melody. (manga part) Her mother died after she was born. Her body started rejecting her own blood. (anime+manga part) In order to save her, her father gave his life to revive Michel. They would complement each other, and form a new race. However, they would not fuse for some reason oder another, and "ended up in their tragical situation" (citate xD). (anime part) Her doctor tried to make her take medicine, but her brother, Rihito, refused. In the end, she took it, resulting in her having breathing problems. She had to stay at home, and her Friends stopped seeing her one Von one. She was all alone. (anime non-flashback part) She saved Kaito in Hawai, fell in Liebe with him, and because Kaito Lost his memories he fell in Liebe with her too, even though it was just a brotherly love. She fainted now and then, and had headaches. Kaito took care of her. Kaito parted from her after regaining his memories, resulting in Michel going berserk. He and Michal joined together, this time (almost) succesful. She was still conscious, and left with Michel when he found his happiness.

He grown up only with his mother and he was part of the Hin tribe that was hated Von the Kotou Empire,so since an early age he had to experience hate being thrown at him and his mother.One Tag the Emperor of Kotou ordered his soldiers to kills the entire Hin tribe and the 9 Jahr old Nakago had to witness his mother being raped Von 5 soldiers,this was the moment in which his Celestial powers awakened and he killed all the soldiers but sadly because of the fact that he couldn't control to huge amount of his power he also accidentally ends up killing his mother as well.The soldiers realized that he was one of the Celestial Warriors of Seiryuu and brought him to the Emperor,because of his feminine beauty the Emperor sexually abused Nakago.Nakago became so filled with hatred that he swore that when he would grow up he would become powerful enough to take revenge not only on the Emperor but also on the Gods for making his life hell.
