She stood still, her back straight as a rod. The sword in her hand was gripped tight, her knuckles white.
The cut on her cheek stung, but she grit her teeth and looked at her opponent. He was just as calm as she was on the outside, but both were tactical storms underneath, debating their Weiter move. She blinked, and suddenly was back to years earlier.

You fascinated me
Cloaked in shadows and secrecy
The beauty of a broken angel

I ventured carefully
Afraid of what Du thought I'd be
But pretty soon I was entangled

Du take me Von the hand
I Frage who I am

She looked at him steadily, the rain on the field cleaning the blood from her wounds. Her sword lay to the side of her, thrown away from his attack. He looked at her, disappointment clear on his face.
“I thought you'd have learned Mehr Von now.”
His words pricked through her like the icy rain against her skin.
“There are ways to fix that.”

Teach me how to fight
I'll Zeigen Du how to win
You're my mortal flaw
And I'm your fatal sin
Let me feel the sting
The pain
The burn
Under my skin

She growled low in her throat and lunged quickly, his sword quick to block. Even as the other man's face formed in her head, she refused to let him win this one after so long.

Put me to the test
I'll prove that I'm strong
Won't let myself believe
That what we feel is wrong
I finally see what
Du knew was inside me
All along

She moved more, focusing her anger into strength for her attacks, causing her partner to falter and loose his grip some. She smirked at him.

That behind this soft exterior
Lies a warrior

She swung again, quicker. He pushed her back this time and she spun to keep her balance. They faced off for a long moment before she was once again thrown back in time.

My memory refused
To separate the lies from truth
And Suchen the past
My mind created

I kept on pushing through
Standing resolute which you
In equal measure
Loved and hated

I'm seeing who I am

His hands were tight around her throat and she struggled for breath. She grit her teeth rather than cry out and swung her leg. His hands released her as he loudly cursed and she scurried back to her weapon. She clutched it tightly and stared at him, the blood on his hands and face.
“You weak, rotten girl! Du should have been thrown to the Hunde when Du were born!”

He gripped her hair and she yelped. She twisted in his grip and clawed at his arm. He yanked her and she grabbed the dagger from his belt, cutting him. He cursed at her, a usual thing as of now, and she dashed away, a chunk of her hair in his hand.

She focused on the man in front of her now, giving in to one last burst of energy before she put everything she knew into her attack. She swung and he parried, tossing her sword to the side. Both stared at each other, panting, before he pulled his sword back and smiled at her. She returned his smile. “Thanks K.C. I needed that.”
He only smiled again, always silent after a victory, and returned to his routine. She grabbed her sword and sheathed it, walking out of the gym. Her father had been on her mind all day, but now that she'd had a long fight with a master swordsman, her mind cleared away the distant memories and she walked with renewed confidence.

He pulled the trigger before words could escape, and watched as the vampire disintegrated.
Quickly he left the church and headed into the woods, first a town of beasts and now a vampire, what Mehr could he handle?
While walking, enjoying the night of no stars and a half moon, his red eyes caught a girl of smaller stature than his own. "A human? But I thought they all died in town."
D's eyes narrowed as he stalked the girl, she was running, but from what? Ignoring all his senses to pursue the her and take her fresh blood, he followed the human instead. She was quick and agile, her eyes showed no fear, yet deep inside he could read she was petrified. Suddenly, she stopped backing up against a gate, cornered as a dark shadow towered over her.
"I thought I killed him?" He hissed placing his hand on his Smith and Wesson.

"Five Mehr minutes..." he rolled over pressing his face into the couch cushion.
"Get up! Unless Du want Dariyn to burn to death, I SUGGEST Du Bewegen IT!" Naliak jerked Jaime off the couch as he snapped himself upright blurring off, still keeping a tight grip on Naliak.

They left as the sun set in the horizon. Careful not to wake the others, Richi, Aryess, Nic, and Alek quietly left the hotel to finish the long adventure. Traveling across half of the city, none of them spoke a word the whole way through. Finally reaching the Itexicon building, Nic led them into the building from the rooftop. "You'd think they'd have better security..." muttered Richi, obviously suspicious of how easy it was to enter. Yeah, my new obsession is the band Red, specifically the song Let it Burn. So I'm Schreiben a (depressing) songfic on it. The stars were visible through the skylight above the hammock. There was rarely any rain in the South American city, and while the weather was warm, it was comforting and made one drowsy, bringing sleep easier.
