The room was heavy with the sound of a Fan rotating, papers gently flipping over. The apartment was nearly bare, save for a cluttered desk, a coffee table, lamp, and old couch. A bett and one near emptied dresser made up the bedroom. Light poured in from the bathroom, the water in the sink trickling slowly into a puddle. On the couch, was a man made of lean, sinewy muscles. His black as midnight hair lay flat on his forehead from a slight perspiration. Facing him, sitting in his crossed lap, was a girl. Her short red hair like feuer in the bland room. Their lips locked in a tangle of passion and fingers grazed skin and hair. A slight rap at the door before it opened.
“Hey Erin I need to-!”
The intruder stopped short, the girl zipping away like lightning, now standing at the edge of the room.
“B-b-becca!!!”
The two girls looked at each other a Minute before watery brown eyes moved to meet the familiar blue of the past.
“Sorry to interrupt. I'll let Du get back to it.”
The door was empty Sekunden later and he turned to look at the woman hesitating Von the hall.
“Erin....go after her.”
“But-”
“You won't feel right till Du do.”
With a simple nod, she was gone.
She sat at the oben, nach oben of the building, the darkened city below and the breezy wind threatening to pull her down. She heard the soft zip of her approach.
“How long, Erin?”
“Becca....I'm sorry...”
“How long has it been since...”
“..almost five months.”
She closed her eyes against the threatening tears of betrayal.
“I'm so sorry. He came and found me; asked about you. I had no idea this would happen..I swear.”
She nodded her head and looked at the speedster.
“So...you Liebe him..”
“Yes....I'm sorry...I couldn't stop it.”
Becca laughed and shook her head.
“Never can. Just....don't hurt him.”
“Are Du okay?”
She sighed and smiled.
“Yeah. I've moved on. I'm happy. The past just....swooped in at full charge and stahl, stola my breath.”
Erin nodded.
“Thanks..”
“Go get him, Red. Watch out for those wings.”
