The cool wind ruffled his blonde hair. His steps were fast and sharp. Many heads turned as he walked down the cobblestoned path, mostly female. His sunglasses reflected the sights of the old city as he moved closer to the meeting spot. He stuffed his hands deep into the pockets of his black trench mantel despite the warm sun. He turned down a side street, then another. Quickly, he looked around before walking into the shadows of the building. When he stepped out of them, he stood in the middle of a burned down building, rotting furniture and material littering the floor. He looked around slowly, his face expressionless. He turned as he heard the sound of creaking wood. She stood there, hands crossed in front of her, with her hair in a high ponytail.
“I didn't think Du were serious.”
“Why? Because Du can't trust me?”
“Ahn no! It's not that at all.”
He looked away and walked around. Slowly, he looked back at her.
“Why did Du call me?”
“It's about Metus.”
He looked at her sharply, shoulders tensing.
“Well?!”
“Metus...is alive.”
They looked at each other before he forced a wicked grin.
“The devil. Figured he was. I mean, you're back from the dead so why not him?”
“You don't sound pleased,” a new voice said.
His eyes narrowed and he looked to where Metus stood, his fair hair falling into his dark eyes.
“Oh no of course I am. Why shouldn't I be?”
Metus shook his head at his brother's sarcasm.
“Ter, this has nothing to do with Du being the youngest.”
The boy ignored him and looked to the girl.
“As great as it is to have a reunion, I need your key.”
“What for?”
“I need to get into our stash.”
“Why do Du need a weapon?” Metus asked.
“I have a vampire to kill.”
The older two looked at each other than back to where he stood with a determined look on his face.
“You can't touch those weapons.”
“Curse be damned hand over the key!”
“It'll hurt you!!”
“No it can't!! There's nothing left to hurt!”
A tense silence filled the air as the they silenty debated their Weiter move. He looked at them, the fierceness in his blue eyes not hidden Von the sunglasses he still wore. Eventually, she spoke.
“If I give Du the key, do Du promise to return it in the same state you're in now?”
“On my grave, I swear.”
She nodded and removed the key from around her neck. He took it and neither missed the misty tears forming in his cerulan eyes.
“Thank you.”
She nodded and hugged him tightly.
“I will be here for Du when it is finished.”
He nodded and Metus ruffled his hair.
“Don't let him get away.”
“Yeah whatever. One Jahr doesn't make Du my boss.”
“No but Du always get distracted.”
He growled and walked away.
“He'll be alright, Syl.”
“I know. But he's been broken so many times..”
“This is not like those other times. We have to trust him. Even when it is a stupid idea.”
“He Lost her twice. Can he handle a third..?”
“We'll have to see.”
He stuffed the Pistolen into the holsters, attaching the gürtel of pure silver iron nets to his waist. The sword were strapped to his back and he added a few silver blades to his inventory. The compartment now cleared, he walked out of the room and hid it once more, locking it with the key. He pulled out a book from a shelf, his eyes moving over the title. The blood stains from many years had caused brown spots and he threw the book away. He cocked the Pistolen and brought from the shadows, his sacred blue rose.
“I promise, my love, I will avenge Du oder die trying. Even if it means I have to kill every single vampire living on this earth to bring Du to me.”

"Why did Du not tell us?" Nightwing asked. "Why was it so important to hide the fact Du and Artemis were related?"
"You didn't need to know." Revenge said. "I give out my information on a need-to-know basis."
The Black Hero grabbed the former Boy Wonder Von the collar. "And my identity was NOT need to know."
Nightwing shoved Red Revenge off and started walking towards the bioship.
"You'll regret it one day, Dick!" Revenge called. Nightwing stopped. "You'll regret walking away right here and now."
Nightwing clenched his fists and walked slowly towards the bio-ship.
