Earlier that week everything had been perfectly normal. Fin, Delta, and Robin were relaxing on the couch, flipping through channels (Connor was not pleased that they’d fixed the static--he’d disappeared into his room some time Vor complaining about his Favorit show.) M’gann was in the kitchen, Artemis was sitting on the counter. Wally was eating the burnt kekse, cookies that M’gann had pulled out some time ago, and Kaldur was sparring with Nathan in the main room.
Fin’s hand began to go even faster, smoke coming off the remote as she sped up to a Wally-like pace. The T.V. couldn’t keep up, and they got small snippets of each channel.
“Then we want--”
“Two teaspoons--”
“Another great save--”
“Robbery thwarted--”
“Gotham’s white royals--”
“Wanted for--”
“Wait, wait go back!” M’gann yelped, hovering closer to the couch, bowl of dough forgotten. “I hear something about royalty!”
Fin shared a glance with Robin, and they both sighed to themselves. “Not actual royalty, Megs,” Wally cut in. “The white royals of Gotham are the people in the city who do the most good. In this case, the white Knight, Prince and Princess, are Bruce Wayne and his three wards, Dick, Danna and Kyra Grayson.”
Fin giggled softly to herself, as M’gann replied, “Oh, well--”
“Don’t worry Megan, I’ll change it back.” As Fin did so, the shot changed to a close up of the three younger ‘Royals.’
“Wow.. her dress is just beautiful!” M’gann sighed, commenting on the long dress the middle sibling was wearing in the shot. Fin grumbled sullenly at the sight of it, something about a burning inferno, which went unnoticed to most of the people there. Robin and Delta bit their lips and turned away, laughing silently to themselves.
“Yeah, I’m done...” she threw the remote onto the couch and stuffed her hands into her pockets. M’gann muttered a soft ‘yeah’ before hovering on to sit on the couch, continuing to watch the news feed on the Graysons, decidedly ignoring the smoke beginning to steadily rise from the oven. Robin shook his head and walked over to the oven, pulling out the burnt pastries, while Delta went over to the hallway to disappear in her room.
Fin walked past Nathan and Kaldur while they took a break, Nathan’s forehead sparkling with sweat and Kaldur basically chugging a bottle of water. Nathan caught Fin’s gaze and instantly turned away, flinging drops of liquid into the air. The zeta announced her exit, and he turned his jade eyes to watch her dissipate in the light of the tube. Sighing, he grabbed a towel from the sidelines and ruffled his mocha hair. Just friends, he told himself. Strictly friends. That was the deal.
Fin, meanwhile, had zeta’d straight out of the cave, to no specific location. It was extremely windy there, making her hair whip at her glasses. She pulled her haube up tightly and ran up the closest building, sitting on the edge of the roof. Her iPod was plugged into her ears, and she pulled her jacke closer as she looked out over the harbor, the water was glassy and perfectly clear. If she dared to tap into her power supply, she could see the fisch that were darting to and forth beneath the surface in an endless game of tag. Losing her grasp on actual reality, she focused on a specific fish, with Gold scales not unlike the color of her eyes when she was out of her own control. Smiling at the quick agility of the small aquatic animal, she didn’t notice an emerald-green haired man with blindingly pale skin and a demonic grin, oder a teen with bright yellow eyes and snowy hair smiling seductively come behind her silently.
It wasn’t until a joker card embedded itself Weiter to her in the bricks and a cloth was forced over her mouth when she realized she was being kidnapped.

Brendan stood in his Navy uniform in silence.
"Why....why did Du do it?" He pulled off his hat, and stared at the memorial, it was a tribute to the fallen soldiers. Brendan dipped his finger in black paint, and started Schreiben his Friends name on the wall. They begged Du not to go into this. Du knew it was suicide mission, escpically with your powers. She begged Du gods sake. I don't get why Du did it...but I guess Du made your choice. Tears slid down Brendans face I guess, Du felt it was your place, to take that spot. But Du brought down a evil force, a force so strong, that only Du could break it. The Government will pay. They'll pay for what they put Du through. I swear I'll avenge your death. Brendan wiped his hands clean and walked away. He had thirty-hours until he boarded the submarine, that's when his plan went underway.
Anyone got any idea who sacrificed themself?

"Why did Du not tell us?" Nightwing asked. "Why was it so important to hide the fact Du and Artemis were related?"
"You didn't need to know." Revenge said. "I give out my information on a need-to-know basis."
The Black Hero grabbed the former Boy Wonder Von the collar. "And my identity was NOT need to know."
Nightwing shoved Red Revenge off and started walking towards the bioship.
"You'll regret it one day, Dick!" Revenge called. Nightwing stopped. "You'll regret walking away right here and now."
Nightwing clenched his fists and walked slowly towards the bio-ship.
