I ran through the streets of NewYork, thick with people and vendors. I took a sharp turn, skidding on the rain water, my windbreaker keeping my wings dry. My wings were sore, and I couldnt move them. Horrible when your trying to escape things about three times stronger than you. And jumped up and kicked off of a building nearby. Throwing my hands out infront of me, I saw the clouds. It was like slow motion, untill I hit the chest of a furry Eraser. Adrenaline pumped into my system. He stummbled back and made a wheezing noise. He grabbed my arms and whipped around, slamming me into a wall. I winced. This was nothing compared to what I did last week. What did I do exactly? Lets just say worst things. I was peeled off the wall, and growled and slipped from his grasp. I started to slither away, into the shadows, but I was grabbed by the neck. I felt the cold rain on my skin I winced, and listened to him snicker. I growled deepy. The three Erasers behind the one grasping my neck were laughing. My wings felt broken, my head felt broken, I felt broken. I slipped away from his grasp and gasped for air. I stood up straight and lunged at another, drawing my swords from the sheaths underneath my leather jacket. I smirked and slipped under him. He whipped around, only to get slashed by the now bloodsoaked swords. He hollared in pain and fell to his knees, holding his face together. I thew in a light sniker and lunged at another. I stabbed it in the chest, puncturing his heart, killing him instantly. I whipped around, only to get a fist jerking my head to the side. I growled, and tasted blood. He would pay. I turned and unfolded my wings, launching into the air. Inside, my stomach tied in knots, I saw the face of,
"Ari...." I whispered. My face twisting in horror. He opened his wings and smirked
"Hello."
