Cherrypaw thought and watched as the tortoiseshell tom padded back to camp. "You do realize he likes you? Loves you, actually." Oneheart circled her apprentice. "N-no... I just noticed..." Cherrypaw sniffed. "You two would make a beautiful couple, ya know." Oneheart smiled. "Yuck! No way!" Cherrypaw looked away, but she felt small feelings for Robinpaw too. "Oh well. You're too young to think about love. You'll just have to wait." Cherrypaw knew the deputy knew she loved him. Cherrypaw stretched outside the apprentice den,her jaws parting in a massive yawn, and her pure haute teeth caught the sunlight and glinted. She suddenly heard a yowl come from across the clearing, and she leapt up instinctively, her claws unsheathed. Timeflare burst out of the medicine den, her jaws full of herbs, and she disappeared into the nursery. "What's going on?" "Shadesong's kitting, that's what!" Reefclaw snapped and Cherrypaw cowered at his tone. "Sorry..." he muttered and dashed away. "I don't want to have kits!" Arrowpaw puffed, her face twisting. "Don't be a foxheart, Arrowpaw." Robinpaw growled. Cherrypaw was stunned. None of the apprentices wanted to have kits. Did Robinpaw? Cherrypaw shook the gross thought out of her head. She felt eyes on her, and turned to see Robinpaw's amber eyes on him. Arrowpaw suddenly looked uncertain and she shifted nervously as another yowl echoed from the nursery. "Is something wrong?" Tawnypaw asked, her eyes reflecting her friend's uncertainty. "I hope Shadesong's ok." Arrowpaw pressed up against Robinpaw. Robinpaw licked his sisters head and sniffed,"Timeflares a great medicine cat. She won't let anything happen to Shadesong, neither will Reefclaw." his eyes directed on Cherrypaw again, and she shifted. Timeflare poked her head out of the nursery,"Arrowpaw, Robinpaw, Dragonstar, come see your new siblings." she nodded at Reefclaw and all four Katzen filed into the nursery. Cherrypaw lifted her head, and gazed at the darkening sky. Stars were beginning to shine, and a full moon floated into the sky. Dragonstar leapt up on the highrock, and called out,"Let all those old enouh to catch their own prey, Mitmachen here beneath the highrock for a clan meeting!" vats gathered below it, and Cherrypaw stood beside Rainpaw, mesmerized. "It is time for the most important ritutal. For apprentices to become warriors," Cherrypaw and her denmates eyes widened,"I chose tonight to name these five worthy apprentices," she beckoned them vorwärts-, nach vorn with a flick of her tail,"because of another important event. Hollybreeze, are Du satisfied that your apprentice is ready?" Hollybreeze nodded. "Then Von the powers of StarClan, I give Du your warrior name. Rainpaw. From this Tag forward, Du shall be known as Rainstorm. LightningClan is honored to have Du as a warrior." she touched her muzzle to his shoulder, and he did the same. Dragonstar called Tawnypaw, Arrowpaw and Robinpaw over, and gave them their warrior names- Tawnyleaf, Arrowstreak and Robinflight. "Oneheart, ars Du satisfied that your apprentice is ready?" "Yes, she has trained hard." "Then Von the powers of StarClan, I give Du your warrior name. Cherrypaw, from this Tag vorwärts-, nach vorn Du shall be known as Cherryfligjt, in honor of Cherrystar. Her spirit lives in you." the she-cat leapt down and touched Cherrypaws muzzle,"Fufill your destiny, young one." she backed off, smiling. All five of them sat, shoulder to shoulder, and watched silently as their clanmates disappeared inside dens. Cherrypaw listened to the faint mewling of kits and gazed up at the stars, her green eyes sparkling. 'Fufill your destiny...' the words echoed in her ears and she was Lost in thought, but remianed wide awake.
