Who should play Lestat?

A new Vampire Chronicles movie is being discussed and there is some speculation about the actor to play everyone's Favorit Brat Prince. Robert Downey Jr. is in talks and Tom Cruise has been suggested Von Fans of the Interview movie.
My mother and I have been wrapped up in heated debates about these choices. Who do Du think should play Lestat? Feel free to give unknown actors (really I prefer new-comers to big stars in important roles like this one). And Please Post Pics!
