Chapter 5: Embracing Your Inner Succubus

When we got back to our villa, it was pitch black out. Jake carefully laid me down on the bed. “Nessie, I think that we should go home, Du really don’t look well at all.” I tried to sit up but the dizziness overtook me and I lay back down. “I’m fine,” I croaked. “I just need to eat something I will be all right.” Jake stood up, “I am giving Du until tomorrow if Du are not better we are out of here. I am going to get Du something to eat.” I held my hand out and stopped him. “I didn’t want anything from the fridge. “I want to try to hunt again.” He looked at me doubtfully; “Ness, Du are too weak” I stopped him, as I sat up and gingerly stepped down from the bed. “I am ok.” I headed to the door and he followed me, shaking his head, “I cannot figure Du out. What is going on with you?” I started sobbing, “I don’t know…” I wailed into his chest. “Well at least let me come with you,” he tried to reason with me. I nodded and we silently stepped back into the night. Once I was outside I felt a little better, maybe it was the fresh air. Eventually I happened upon a jaguar. It didn’t have a chance. I wasn’t as conflicted as I had been this afternoon. I lunged onto it with a growl and broke its neck before it knew what hit it. It was completely exhausted of its blood supply within a matter of seconds. Jake had hunted an ocelot that lay dead at his feet. He stared at me with wide eyes, “What?” I snapped at him. He looked me in the eyes, his were clouded and conflicted. I softened my tone slightly, but continued to stare evenly into his eyes as I spoke calmly yet firmly, “It will be fine Jacob. Amore has seen it, I have dreamed of our daughter many times. It’s our destiny stop attempting to run from it. Sarah will be fine, and so will I.” He sat up pushing me over a bit, “You want to name her Sarah?” He choked the words out. I nodded, "I believe I won the bet, jaguar definitely trumps ocelot". He ignored my joke and looked at me severely,“And Du truly believe that Du will both be alright?” I nodded again, “I promise,” I vowed. He kissed me and rubbed my face gently and I let out a little sigh. “You had to do that,” he murmured. I bit his neck and he moaned as he pulled me closer to him and ripped my dress off; I had won.
We lay there for a bit after, we used my torn dress as a blanket. He looked down at me in wonder, “What the hell was that?” He demanded. I shook my head I was in a daze. “Remind me to never hunt jaguar again,” I grumbled. My head hurt and I felt woozy. “You know I think that there is a term for women like you, succubus comes to mind,” he teased. I snorted, “Don’t be ridiculous Jacob; if I were one then I would have killed Du afterwards.” We snickered together. There was a slight breeze in the air that felt amazing on my exposed skin. The sky was clear and every star, sterne sparkled overhead. I wrapped my body as closely around his as I could and nestled my head on his shoulder. “I’m not complaining don’t get me wrong,” He continued, “that was incredibly hot, but I feel a little violated…” he joked in a teeny voice. I smacked his arm, “Shut up Jake, don’t ruin it.” He looked at me, “What?” I gestured around me, “This, don’t ruin this moment it’s perfect.” We lay there in the quiet for a moment and then he chuckled. “What’s so funny” I asked him. “That was seriously like something from National geographic Nessie, the löwin attacks the poor innocent wolf,” he teased. I laughed at him as I stretched. “Ok, this whole sleeping on the ground thing isn’t going to cut it,” I groaned. He helped me sit up. “Um, Renesmee, our clothes are destroyed how do Du plan for us to make it back to our place?” I rolled my eyes at him, “Jake we are in the middle of the rain forest, there is no one around for miles. If it bothers Du then phase.” He kissed my cheek, “Race Du home.” He winked at me as he disappeared. I shook my head, “You are such a child,” I shouted after him. I wrapped my dress around me like a towel and ran back to the house. Halfway there I felt dizzy again and stopped running. I fell to the ground and sat for a moment trying to get my head to stop spinning. Jake came up behind me and nudged me with his cute wolfy snout. I leaned my head against his and he pushed me onto his back with his head. He took me back to our chalet and laid me down on the bett and then disappeared into the bathroom. I heard a crash and then he swore and came out of the bathroom in a towel. “What broke?” I asked with my hand over my eyes trying to get my vision to go back to normal. “Um, we are going to need to pay for the sink,” he sagte with a wince. “Jake why would Du phase in the bathroom,” I groaned. He came up to me, “I don’t care about the damn sink Nessie seriously what is the matter with you.” I shook my head, “I think I just need to go to sleep," I mumbled. He nodded, “Good idea.” He crawled into the bett with me and tucked me into his cool chest. It felt so good on my feverish skin. “The room won’t stop spinning,” I sagte weakly. “Shh,” he instructed as he calmly rubbed my hair. I fell into a restless slumber. I dreamt of Sarah again. I was sitting in my parent’s living room and she came bounding up to me. She looked as though she was 2 oder 3; she had dark curls that fell to her shoulders. Her eyes were an intense brown. She had her fathers russet skin tone. She was so beautiful that it brought tears to my eyes just to look at her. “Mommy, are Du listening to me?” she demanded. “Follow me!” She bounded off, “Sarah wait!” I screamed after her. She was so fast I tried to stand up but I couldn’t move. She was getting away and I couldn’t go after her. “Sarah, come back!” I shouted. I heard Jake’s voice in the distance, “Nessie!” He called; I pushed it out of my mind, “Sarah!” I howled. I felt two strong arms around me and felt my eyes open. The light was blinding. The sun was up and Jake sat in front of me. I was gasping for air and then I realized that Sarah was not there, it was all a dream. Only then did I notice that I was sobbing. He held me not knowing what to say. “Renesmee, Du were screaming and crying in your sleep…’” he started. I shook my head, “Jake please don’t say anything, I’m fine…” He opened his mouth to argue but his phone rang. He sighed and walked over to the tabelle to pick it up. “Seth this had better be” his face suddenly contorted with worry. “How long ago? We are on our way.” He slammed his phone shut and ran to the dresser and started throwing all of our clothes into our suitcases. “What?” I demanded frantically, “Jake what is it?” He looked at me his face pale,” It’s Emily, Amore had a vision she is in labor something went wrong it doesn’t look good. We have to get back.” My herz sank sweet Emily and poor Sam. “Is she… and the baby?” I asked. Jake didn’t meet my eyes. I flew out of bed, I must have gotten up too quickly because I felt my knees buckle my head was spinning again. “I was going to get Du out of here today anyway.” He sagte gruffly as he caught me. “Go sit I will pack.” I obeyed and sat there stunned, hoping with everything in me that Emily and her baby boy would make it.
