I'm not sure if this issue has ever been discussed on here but I'll do this anyway. Right now, I feel it is time that I share my thoughts and feelings about whats on my mind: Gender roles

Look, I know some guys may actually LIKE some of the usual male stuff (and that's great, that's not really my issue) but I also know that not every guy is the same. Just because I am a "male", doesn't mean I have to be like the "traditional male"--and I don't want to be. My body may be male, but my physical appearance only shows Du WHAT I am, not WHO. It's not supposed to. Being a male isn't (and shouldn't be) based on superficial things. It is about who were are on the inside.

Traditional male's Liebe cars. I personally don't car for them. They're cool I guess.

Traditional male's Liebe sports. I really don't. They're not "stupid" I just can't get myself to like em.

Traditional male's like out-door's stuff, like fishing and hiking. I don't like it that much. Though I do Liebe nature at times--I admit it's beautiful.

Traditional male's strive to be physically strong (and that's not wrong, actually. BUT most tend to forget about being strong in spirit as well)

Traditional male's Liebe army stuff. And I DO NOT. I have a lil brother who wants to Mitmachen the army, and that's just awesome... for him at least. Not my thing.

Traditional male's don't wear the color pink. I would Liebe to own something with a lil rosa in it. I don't obsess over it, I just wear it as a reminder that I am not just a male, I am human. Also because rosa is for breast cancer, and I had an Aunt who died from it. RIP Aunt Carol :(

Traditional male's obsess over females. I do not. I have nothing against girls, but it bugs me when I see men talking about them ALL THE TIME. And whats worse is the inappropriate things some men say about females. Females are humans too, aren't they?

My point is that, who we are as a person won't be found just Von looking at our physical bodies. Like mine, our personalities are hidden beneath the flesh and is located in the soul--that is why we must be willing to get to know a person for who they are, NOT judge Von the "cover".

Now, what is it that motivates me? Well, to be perfectly honest, it's not a "what" but a "Who"--A very special person in my life, known as my Savior, Jesus Christ. Now, I am aware that not everyone will agree with my personal views, and I don't expect them to. BUT I would be nice if others could respect that. When Jesus was on Earth, He too, was very different--and did He care what people thought? NO. He stood His ground, He was on a mission to save souls, not to care about what the world thought.

I'm just really sick and tired of being so afraid to say how I feel, because some of my family members are "traditional"--my mom says that I shouldn't even wear rosa at all because of how "girly" she was told it was. Well, maybe back then it was "OK" to give gender roles to humans, but this is the 21st century. We don't live in a "black and white" world. Human beings are Mehr than just "male and female"--we each have unique personalities, that we should all be free to express (I mean, within reason. I'm not into bad things like meth, drugs oder whatever. Du know what I mean, I hope)
