SJF_Penguin2 Skipper and Private in the third panel and Skipper in the fourth panel remind me of pigeons. Kowalski in the fifth panel reminds me of a puffin. Still cool to see these early sketches. I'm looking forward to getting my copy of this book.

peacebaby7 That's awesome! As of 27Kowalski's wonderful opportunity to meet Tom McGrath and upload his conference on the creation of the movie, I found out he was the one to create them. I think that's so awesome! And it's really cool to see these early sketches, even though they look nothing like what the penguins have developed into. I have to find this book!

CaptSkipper You can get it on Amazon or at Barnes and Nobles (though Amazon would have a more reliable stock). There's probably a few other places out there, but I currently do not know of them. If you live in the US, it's around 45 dollars. I absolutely adore it.

CaptSkipper Yeah. Pricey, but worth it. I'm sure Amazon would have it for a while, considering the Madagascar 2 book is still available. Tom's foreword made it for me. It made my wanting to meet him intensify and increase. I didn't think that would be possible.

27Kowalski @PB: I already knew most of the things Tom says in the foreword because of that conference. Gosh, thinking about it again is making me smile like an idiot. That was probably one of the best days of my life! Also, I remember that when he showed those sketches at the conference there were a lot more than in the book. Anyways, I finished reading this book yesterday and it's amazing! I flippin' love it! The drawings are utterly stunning; sometimes I even had to stop reading just to say: "Wow!" out loud. Absolutely incredible.
