The sun was setting on the Central Park Zoo. The police and reporters have left, so all was quiet again. Alice came back from the police station, but is still on the oben, nach oben of the suspect list. The police are keeping a close eye on her, and escorted her home.

All the Tiere were gathered around the tables nearby the giftshop. Skipper, his fellow comrades, and Marlene were on oben, nach oben of a tabelle looking down upon their neighbors.

Skipper silenced the crowd and spoke.

"As Du all should know, Darla's life has been taken just last night."

He was interupted.

"Who's Darla?" Julien gave Skipper a skeptical look.

Skipper stared at Julien in bewilderment, and got back to his announcement.

"How she died is unfortunately obvious-" He cringed as he remembered the sight of Darla's body, blood everywhere... the herz yanked right out of her chest... "-But the psychopath who killed her is still unknown, hiding within the shadows." Skipper looked around the crowd.

Joey spoke up. "Do Du have any suspects?"

"Everyone is a suspect."

Marlene shivered and turned to look at the leader. "W-Will it happen again?"

"I was getting to that. Whether the killer will strike again oder this was just a one-shot is vague. For all we know, this maniac could have just hated Darla with an abnormal passion. But this could also be a serial killer, waiting for the right moment to take another life."

"What do Du know about the killer?" Mason questioned.

Skipper turned to Kowalski.

Kowalski faced the crowd and spoke.
"According to my calculations, this murderer is not in his right mind. Something in our enviroment clicked in his brain, setting him off. He may be confused Von his actions, and is afraid and unsure of what to make of what he had done. oder perhaps he is fully aware of his killing, and did it out of anger - maybe something tragic recently happened in his life - oder out of pleasure - he does it to satisfy his derranged needs, which would classify him as a sociopath."

"So our killer should stand out from the rest of us, then...?" Roger thought.

"Not necessarily. Our killer can hide his feelings from us, and strike when we least expect it - if he's a sociopath, that is. If he's psycho, then it would depend how his mind works - if something in his brain clicks randomly, oder only when our backs are turned. Right now it is hard to tell who - oder what - he is."

Marlene glanced at Kowalski, impressed. She expected him to stumble over his words, and make a complete fool out of himself.

Kowalski backed away from the crowd, and Skipper took his place.

Joey spoke. "So, the killer might not know he's a killer? So it could be Du oder me?"

Skipper shrugged. "Like I said, anyone's a suspect.

-----

1:58 AM

He waddled up to the giftshop, the door automatically opening for him. He stepped inside, and the door shut, darkness consuming him.
A liquid dripped down from his forhead. He wiped it off with his flipper and licked it. He was sweating blood.

Skipper smiled into the shadows. "What do Du want?"

He was answered Von the same low growl he heard before.

He laughed. "You're gonna have to do Mehr then that to scare me!"

The same whispy voice he heard last night bounced off the walls, penetrating him.

"Come play, Skipper."

"What do Du want from me?"

"It's okay, Skipper."

"Answer me!"

"It's okay to die, Skipper."

"What do Du want from me?!"

"It's okay to die..."

"ANSWER MY DAMN QUESION!!" Skipper boomed, Mehr blood dripping rapidly off his face.

A roar escalated, growing louder and louder, almost deafening, shaking the whole room.

Then silence.

A metal box appeared in front of Skipper. He stared down at it, and it opened.

Inside was at least ten hearts, still alive and pounding.

The box slid aside, and something else appeared in front of the now-frightened penguin.

A glowing light. Except it wasn't a light. It was another penguin. Female. Her ice-cold eyes stared passionately into Skipper's, smiling joyfully. Skipper Lost his breath. This pinguin was beautiful, like none he had ever seen before.

She swiftly waddled up to Skipper until she was inches away from him. Then she planted her beak to his, Küssen him with so much enthusiasm that Skipper almost fell over. He regained his control and kissed her back, the bliss overtaking him. It was nothing like he had ever felt before. Was he in heaven?

Then, to Skipper's disappointment, the female pulled away. Her pleasant smile turning drastically, grinning at Skipper with pure evil and insanity.

She laughed and spoke. Her voice was like a soft breeze, racing towards him in a whisper.

"It's okay to die, Skipper."

She laughed again and vanished into thin air.

Skipper's herz pounded in his chest, his vision blurring, the room spinning...

Skipper woke with a fright, his herz still pounding. His breathing finally slowed and everything was silent again as he realized his was in his bunk.

Skipper sighed and laid back down, staring up at the ceiling. He closed his eyes.

A scream broke the silence.

"Ugh," Kowalski instictively stretched out, before realizing he was no longer in a crate. He lay on a cold powdery substance. Snow? Kowalski put some in his mouth, then spit it out. It was Fake.

Standing up, he brushed of the flakes and looked around.
There was fake ice and snow covering the landscape,
with stone slabs set out in an area of salt water. If the snow wasn't real then...was this a habitat? Kowalski searched the perimeter for his mate,...

OPERATION: Home SWEET HOME
CHAPTER FOUR
~ Whatever It Takes ~

The Weiter morning, before the zoo opened for business, Skipper, the other penguins, and Marlene gathered at Alice’s office to look at the newest edition of The New York Times, which Alice always had a copy of on oben, nach oben of her desk. Since both the Central Park Zoo and the New York Times Building were located in Manhattan, Skipper figured that the envelope he and Kowalski had mailed out the morning before would have reached the newspaper that same day, thus in time for its contents to be published in that morning’s edition.

“Let’s...

RATED PG-13.
Genre: mystery, suspense, romance, mild action
TDL's Note: I'm Schreiben a new story. This one is rather dark. The first part is very short; it is only the prologue.

The air was filled with the scent of wet concrete. The moon shown down on the lifeless zoo, the only Quelle of light. Puddles covered the ground from the storm that passed through the city hours ago. An eerie silence swept over the exhibits.

Through the silence, faint footsteps moving from puddle to puddle were heard, getting louder and louder. He came from the shadows and out into the moonlight, and took a breath of...

Just a little drabble I wrote up, my theories as to why Blowhole is crazy and wants to flood the world and hates Skipper. This will probably be COMPLETELY different from what actually happened, but oh well. Just something to tide us all over until Febuary 15th.

Title sucks, I know, but it's the best I could come up with. :-/

I might write another story soon, too. If I haev the time. I wanna write a Skipper/Marlene/Blowhole story. Insane, I know. :P

And I believe I've officially become Blowhole's number-one fan. On this website, at least. ^^;

Oh, and the bit where he's beached and a Zufällig guy puts...

Everyone landed in different places around the rainforest.

Marlene and Icicle stood-up and began to Suchen for everyone else.

"Uggh! What's up with Skipper?" asked Marlene, "He keeps messing with me and thinks that he can boss me around! What's wrong with him?"

"Uhh, girl." Icicle sagte while fighting through the leaves, "Don't Du think that Skipper does that to protect you?"

"Well, sometimes. But still...Yea, whatever." Marlene jumped over the root blocking her way. "Why can't he see that I can take care of myself? I don't want him to think of me as a weak, damsel in distress. I want to be more."...

Chapter Two

“Rico. Rico. Rico, wake up.” Rico heard his name being called repeatedly and fluttered his eyes open. The voice was so rich and sweet, he hoped it was who he thought it was.

“Marlene???” Rico whispered. His eyes were blurry and then they got into focus, making the shape of an angry pinguin and a slightly younger one to his side.

“RICO! Where are my magazines?” Skipper demanded. He didn’t hear Rico say Marlene at first.

“Marlene.” Rico sat up and wiped his eyes with his flippers. He looked around and found his doll. Her arm had came off when he had thrown her aside...

“I wonder what’s taking him so long,” Marlene mumbled to herself. She was sprawled out across her bed, staring up at the ceiling of her habitat, thinking about Skipper. She checked the clock, “it’s been almost an hour. I hope his team took it well.”

Marlene began to get anxious, not because she wanted to know what the other penguins thought of their relationship, but because she wanted to see Skipper again. Ever since the first time she laid eyes on the strapping pinguin she knew that there was something about him that attracted her to him. It could have been his sleek black and...

Note To Self,

It’s been nearly a month. I’m not sure what happened, but Skipper is in the worst shape of his life. Private and I have both made various attempts to talk to him, but he refuses to say a word. On another note, he won’t eat his fish, anymore. Private tells me that he somehow feels responsible. I somehow doubt it. But, with the way things are looking, who knows what’s wrong with Skipper? I only wish that he would tell me something. It wouldn’t even have to be about this situation. I simply need to know if he’s still sane.

Besides, he’s starting to frighten Private....

“What’s going on, Skippa?” Private appeared from behind the conversing crowd that had gathered near the fishbowl ladder. This cluster of Tiere now included the four penguins and Marlene, who appeared to have brought along some important news.

“We’ve received word that Alice and her coworkers are planning some sort of diabolical meeting at the Zoovenir.” Kowalski answered, instead. Marlene was quick to intervene, though.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa! I did not say anything about it being diabolical!” the otter claimed with her hands of her hips. She had only been there for probably 8 minutes...

Kowalski stood outside his home, chest puffed out proudly, feathers ruffled, a rather goofy grin on his face, as he stared at what was before him.

"Is it good, Dad? Did I do a good job?"

Kowalski looked down at his son, a young pinguin with tiny tuffs of down feathers clinging to his new, slick ones, much like Kowalski's own memories, both quickly fading reminders of their past. Kowalski notes how long it had taken Kona to lose his feathers; a Jahr longer than normal, but just as well, it had been the same for him. Kowalski laid a flipper on Kona's shoulder, and grinned some more.

"Not good,...

New York City, in the middle of summer. Hot Von anyone's standards, sweltering Von a penguin's. Needless to say, the four penguins now standing on the artificial ice floe, to their habitat, were not pleased. Of course, they would not have been willing to put up with such heat, but after the FURNACE incident, they were not willing to take any chances with turning up the a/c.

Kowalski glared up at the sun, behind one shielding flipper. The sun did not suit him, and he was sure he did not look well in it. The others they were used to it, but long hours, shut away in his lab, had left him unaccustomed...

1 I actully think that the penguins should get a new reacrute for the team. 2 Don`t Du think that the penguins a team of ninjas should have Mehr practice and no time for goofing off and to have girlfriends espesally skipper. 3 If the penguins had girlfriends that they wouldn`t sleep with her like my brother reads about. 4 Ok I`m going into the Julien subject first shouldn`t they think of a plan to kick Julien out of the zoo and into another, I mean if their SO smart. 5 why do the penguins just throw Julien out into the woods I know I would [he would probably just call himself king of the bears]...

wolf vs. otter
Chapter 2-
The wolf
I felt my herz skip a beat as I heard the weighty kiste plop on the oben, nach oben of the H.Q. We were waiting for the zookeepers to leave. We heard one of them complain a little about not understanding something in relation to our transfer. Once the zookeepers left an awkward silence filled the room. ”Okay, let’s go meet our new inhabitant spy” I sagte breaking the silence, we headed for the ladder. It was still early spring outside in the morning, I felt the chilly air run into my face as we lined up in front of the kiste side Von side. We waited silently not...

Kowalski descended down the ladder into the penguin’s HQ, having just gotten Skipper to confess one of his deepest secrets. His vision panned from one side to the other, scanning the inside for the other penguins.

Rico was sitting in the corner as usual, brushing his doll’s hair and cooing at her. Seeing thing brought a smile to Kowalski’s face. Even though he thought of their relationship as weird, it was still kinda cute to see Rico act like that and Kowalski couldn’t help but smile at the manic bird.

His eyes continued to pan until they fell upon Private. The youngster was sitting...

Rico missed his doll.

He missed the plastic female that was always just the right size for a warm hug; her long, blonde hair, her silent and mysterious personality. She was probably the only one that truly understood the lonely penguin. Everyone else seemed to just judge him; but not her. She accepted Rico for who he was, and nothing more. She never argued with him, and she always allowed Rico to have the first word in everything. If only there were Mehr women like her.

But there wasn’t; only her…

This was all very stupid. Pointless. Irritating. Depressing. Frustrating.

Rico could think of...

Note To Self,

Tonight, Skipper decided to avert our attention from the gloomy situation Von screening a variety of films. The majority of which included documentaries of different sorts of animals. Skipper seemed to have skipped the penguins’ film. I can’t blame him. The contents of that video were horrid beyond belief. Anyway, Rico appears to be well. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has already started to feel at Home with Marlene. I can’t very well say the same for me, though. I miss him. But, I’ve also discovered something about our relationship. I admit that my actions towards him...
