A week later…

Rico was standing near Marlene’s cave entrance when he noticed a small, yellow slip of paper on the ground. Of course he was curious, so he decided to bend down and remove it from the concrete. It appeared to be folded in half. Rico narrowed his eyes in order to better focus as he unfolded the yellow paper. He slowly read what someone had written upon it. Once he finished, Rico folded it back and turned to head into the cave.

Marlene was recovering well from her little episode with Skipper. However, there were times when Rico could easily tell that she yearned for a different outcome. He found her while she was rearranging some of her furniture. It was a simple tap on the shoulder that caused Marlene to turn and face the penguin.

“Oh, Rico, don’t sneak up on me like that!” she laughed after having been startled a bit. After regaining her stability, Marlene immediately noticed the yellow slip in Rico’s flipper, “Hey, whatcha got there?” the otter questioned, impulsively reaching for the paper. Quickly, Rico stepped back and shook his head with a grunt.

Although Marlene was disappointed Von this, she almost understood that this was probably very important for Rico.

“So…is there something Du wanted to tell me?” she asked with her hands on her hips.

Rico merely looked the otter in the eyes and she knew.

“You’re…leaving?” Marlene’s arms dropped to her sides. After spending Mehr than a Monat with the penguin, Marlene had almost forgotten that Rico was a part of someone else’s family.

Rico simply nodded in a sad manner.

“Well…” the otter smirked. She assumed that Rico knew what he was doing, “…don’t forget to visit a little, okay? Tell Skipper I sagte Hi…”

The pinguin stepped vorwärts-, nach vorn and wrapped his flippers around the otter, nuzzling her neck with his beak.

“It was nice to have Du here…” she whispered, wishing that she had sagte so much more.

She wanted to thank Rico for comforting her after Skipper ran out on their date. She also wanted to thank him for simply keeping her company. It was always nice to have someone around the cave. Unless, of course, they happened to be an obnoxious walrus that practically lives off of those surrounding them. But, that was a story to be left untold. Right now, this very brief embrace was the only thanks that Marlene could give to Rico. Hopefully it would do him justice for his care and support.

Rico unexpectedly broke the hug, stepping away from the otter for the last time. Then, without another glance, Rico turned and made his way out of the cave.

“Private, please stop crying. You’re going to have to Bewegen one, sooner oder later…” Kowalski was standing behind a sitting Private, who insisted on crying at least once a day, since Skipper’s death.

Rico hopped down from the fishbowl entrance…

Kowalski swiftly turned to examine the Quelle of the sound. When he discovered that it was Rico, Kowalski released a sigh and gave a warm smile.

“Rico…what are Du doing here?” he walked forward, Mehr than happy to see another face of the team.

However, he was instantly reminded of Skipper’s death. He hadn’t told anyone, as of yet.

“If…if you’re looking for Skipper, he…well…he’s gone…” Kowalski chose his words, carefully.

Rico didn’t say anything. He only insisted on handing the yellow piece of paper towards Kowalski. The intellectual didn’t hesitate in retrieving the paper from him. Before unfolding it, Kowalski gave Rico a cautious glance. From there, his eyes re-positioned themselves onto the paper. After Lesen it, Kowalski frowned and looked up to Rico.

“Are Du sure about this, Rico?”

Rico nodded. But, this time, the pinguin smiled and jerked his head to the side; a manner of beckoning for Kowalski to follow him. In response, Kowalski chuckled and shook his head.

“No, thank you. But…I should probably look after Private. I hope Du understand…” Kowalski smiled with folded flippers.

Rico sighed and rolled his eyes while giving Kowalski a smirk.

“This is it, I suppose…” the intellectual stepped vorwärts-, nach vorn and gave his friend a loving hug.

Rico returned the favor, making it last much longer than expected.

After a very long moment, Rico released Kowalski and turned to climb up the ladder. Kowalski simply smiled and watched as his friend left through the fishbowl hole. After Rico was gone, Kowalski took this time to study the yellow paper once more.

Need a friend? -Blowhole

Kowalski read the line over and over again with a grin. Underneath, there were directions. But, they served no purpose for Kowalski. He never thought that Rico, of all penguins, would go through with this. But, if it was what he wanted, then Kowalski wouldn’t fight it. It’s best to let a pinguin live their life the way they believe they should. Things are much less complicated, that way…

Kowalski couldn’t help but chuckle again as he thought to himself. It seemed as though the entire team had their own psychological problems. At least some of them managed to make it through the depressing times alive. Perhaps he’ll never find out why Skipper committed suicide. But, at this point, it didn’t matter to him. He no longer wished to reminisce on bad memories.

It was time to Bewegen on.

“K’walski!!” Private screamed from across the room.

“Yes, what is it, Private?” Kowalski made his way towards the troubled one.

“I’m…ready to tell Du about Skippa…”

“Skipper? What about him?” he asked, sitting Weiter to the small penguin.

“Remember? Du asked me…why I didn’t want to get close to him…a long time ago…” Private sniffled in between his words, trying his best to stop the tears.

Kowalski soon recalled what he was referring to. There were many times when Private had made attempts to avoid Skipper. But, when questioned, Private remained silent. It seemed as though he would finally receive the Antwort that he desired.

“I don’t think he was thinking right, K’walski. He woke me up, one night, and told me…to follow him. He brought me to a dark place in the zoo, and…I think he hit me on the head oder something. I fell down and I couldn’t move, but…I could still see him…and hear him…but, he didn’t know it. He started crying and…said he was sorry. It sounded like he was talking to his Mom, but…no one was there. He started to scare me, but I couldn’t do anything. He bent down, got on oben, nach oben of me, and…he started…”

“You mean…?”

Private covered his face with his flippers and nodded as he whimpered.

Kowalski shook his head, not believing a word of it. It didn’t sound like Skipper, at all.

“Are Du certain that Du were-”

“YES, K’WALSKI!” Private shut his eyes and screamed loudly.

Poor Private. It wasn’t until now when Kowalski realized that Private had been a witness to everyone’s problems. The only one that still had a bit of innocence left within himself, and he was the very one that was forced to suffer for everyone’s mistakes. Well, Kowalski wouldn’t leave him; that was certain. He would suffer with him.

Kowalski didn’t say anything else for a while. He had to admit, though, that this story perfectly fit with the one that Skipper had told him, a Monat ago. Apparently, Skipper staged Private’s absence from Tag one, Schauspielen as though Private had merely wandered away during the night. It was all a part of Skipper’s plan, from the beginning. He couldn’t blame the leader, though. He was probably terrified of what the others would have thought of him. He didn’t want to relive the guilt that his parents forced upon him, as a chick.

The intellectual couldn’t stand to listen to Private’s sobbing and bawling any longer. Therefore, Kowalski looked to his side and noticed a pair of conveniently placed ear muffs. He decided to grab them and slowly placed them around Private’s head. He felt as though Private would be better off with them, instead. From here, Kowalski scooted closer to Private and wrapped a single flipper around his back, holding him close. Private leaned his head on Kowalski’s side, continuing his weeping.

Then, Kowalski whispered the only thing that he could think of.

“I’m sorry…”

-THE END-
Editers note: hi. okay, so here is part five. ... i actually don't know what i should say. um, enjoy.

Skipper could barely keep his eyes open. He wanted the confort of his bunk, but he knew he was up this early for a reason.

Rico was also up, but was dozing off again. Johnson was woken up Von Skipper, but when he realized how early it was, he swore, threatened Skipper not to wake him up again for another hour, and fell back asleep. Skipper didn't bother to wake up Manfredi after that. Kowalski was sleeping like a baby in his bunk. Skipper didn't want to wake him up because of how peaceful he...

So, what're the chances of our Favorit pairings? No matter which is most loved, the possiblity is always important but a crusher. For the sake of the fans, I have put together the likliness of these three pairings: Skilene (Skipper/Marlene), Marski (Kowalski/Marlene), and the new Mico (Rico/Marlene).

Skilene- Though the relationship is shown budding on the TV show, the two are hard to get together. If Du look, Skipper shows the most attention and affection to Marlene but comparing their personalities, they just aren't that compatiable. Marlene: Strong-willed, playful, selfless, and independent....

And so King Julien attempted to organize a late night party. He did manage to throw one on Thursday night, but the party was such a bust (the room was very cramped, there was nothing to eat and King Julien insisted that everyone form a conga line even after several Tiere made it clear they did not want to). The Weiter night, Julien announced that he was going to be throwing a Sekunde party and the Sekunde he did so nearly all of the Tiere that were listening walked away, mumbling about how they would write notes to themselves reminding them not to go. Julien, frantically trying to think of...

King Julien was sleeping on his ‘royal’ bounce house, snoring loudly. Maurice and Mort were sleeping on the opposite side of the exhibit, which was strange because usually Mort made it a point to sleep at least fairly close to Julien. Obviously, this snoring was not normal.

Julien rolled over and opened his eyes. “Whew, all this nasty stuffy air is not treating me well at all” he said. “Or maybe it was that bowl of lychee nuts I ate during the party yesterday.” He shuddered and rolled over, trying to get comfortable.

As he prodded the bouncy house as though it was suddenly going to...

It was currently eleven o’clock at night, so Kowalski decided to visit the city and see what there was to see for a bit, as most of the people would either be Home oder in seedy nightclubs which Kowalski made ever effort to stay away from. Since the other Tiere would all be sound asleep and Kowalski had no access to any science Bücher oder materials since they were all back at the HQ, he didn’t have much else to do. He went down into the sewers since it was quicker and he was less likely to be spotted Von a human and set off towards the town.

After a few minutes, Kowalski came upon Rodger’s...

Rico was nearing Marlene’s habitat when he saw Skipper rushing out of the tunnel.

He didn’t even acknowledge Rico’s presence as the two passed. Lucky for him, for he had feared that his leader would have most likely sagte something about the doll under his arm. Rico turned back and watched as Skipper disappeared into the night’s shadows. It was a bit strange, but he decided to ignore this. He was tired, anyway, and wanted nothing Mehr than to lie down with his doll. Therefore, he turned again and marched into Marlene’s tunnel with a smile across his beak.

The otter’s Home was dark...

“Rise and shine, men!”

Kowalski flung himself from his bunk and landed in front of his leader with stiff posture. Private, however, took his time, as he normally did. To him, this Tag wasn’t anything new.

What mission will Skippa assign us? When are we going to eat? Is Julien going to torment us, today?

These were the very same thoughts that coursed through Private’s noggin’ every other day; whereas, Kowalski had other things in mind.

How can I change, today? How can I make this the best Tag of my life? How can I Zeigen the team my appreciation for them?

Kowalski was wearing the biggest...

[Skipper and Kowalski were locked in an intense game of checkers. Both of the opponents were equally matched. Kowalski was, of course, a genius but Skipper hadn’t made it this far with cheap strategy skills either. Skipper moves his black checker piece, it seemed like a good Bewegen to him. He realized that it was the wrong Bewegen though, when he heard Kowalski’s laugh of triumph.]

After a long Tag of training, dealing with Julien, and protecting the zoo, Skipper busied himself on a top-secret solo mission. . . .

“You think you’re smooth, Hans, but you’re not as smooth as me. Especially not like . . . this!” Skipper sagte to the mirror as he held the fake mustache to his beak. He straightened his cowboy hat and shined his sheriff badge. “Now, that’s what I call a rugged Belvidere if I do say so myself.”

“Thanks for this, guys. I really appreciate it,” Max sagte as the penguins prepared to leave.

“No problem, Moon Cat,” Skipper replied. “We hope your new Home works for you. Du know where to find us if Du need anything.”

“Just across town,” Max replied affirmatively. “Got it.”

“Let’s head home, boys,” Skipper sagte as the four of them climbed into their rosa car. Rico pressed on the gas but had to brake suddenly when a transporter, van zipped by, heading east.

“Whoa, they’re in a hurry,” Private observed.

“Wasn’t that a news van, Skipper?” Kowalski inquired....

Razor padded down the stairs and stared at the young penguin. "Hmm." He lifted him on his back and walked off.

Memory

Private ran around on the hügel giggling joyfully.

"Private could Du come here for a second?" Blue called, shaking his head at the smaller.

Private squealed then ran back and wrapped his flippers around him. "You're warm big brothah."

"Close your eyes."

"Why?"

Blue laughed, "Well it won't be a surprise if I tell you."

Private pouted but shut his eyes. He was certainly surprised feeling his forehead being kissed.

Private didn't answer, instead he glared at the door. Kiki raised his brow then put his ear to the door. A few Sekunden later, he scowled.

“No! Du do not have a money-maker! Only the king has the maker of the money,” Julien insisted as he dusted off his crown. “Also, I—”

Rico and Private laid a bruised, scratched-up, and unconscious Skipper on the examination table.

“Aye!” Private acknowledged as he leapt from the table. He ran to the chimps’ habitat first.

“Mason! Phil!” he called in a panic.

Mason climbed down from his baum with Phil following close behind.
