Gavin, David, and Spencer were in town for the week. I couldn’t WAIT to tell them the great news. I was going to meet them in front of the coffee Shop where I first told them that I had huge feelings for Niall. 2 and a half years later, here I am, telling them I’m engaged to him.
Niall kissed me goodbye, then I walked out my front door to go meet them. “Hey, Lilah-kins!” Gavin sagte once he saw me. “Hey!” I smiled, seeing David and Spencer too. We all sat down and chatted away. Spencer got a new girlfriend, Julia, while David broke up with his girlfriend, Emma. Gavin was, of course, still single. He doesn’t do well with flirting with girls. But that’s just how he rolls.
Trying to make my ring obvious, I purposely scratched my nose every once in a while, stroked my hair, et cetera, et cetera. Finally when I knew they were never going to notice on their own, I finally blurted, “You guys don’t notice anything different about me?” David looked shocked. “Oh no, she’s become a REAL woman! What has this world come to?!” he sagte dramatically, although I knew he was being sarcastic. I laughed and nudged him. “I’ve been trying to make it obvious,” I said, scratching my nose. AGAIN. They all shook their heads. “Nope, I can’t tell,” Spencer said. “Same here,” Gavin and David agreed. I sighed playfully and held out my hand, revealing my ring. “OH MY GOD!!” Gavin cried. “What?” David said, clueless. “Does she have like a hand infection oder something?” But Gavin and Spencer ignored him and embraced me in a hug. “Li, that’s awesome!!” Spencer cried. David was still clueless. “The hand infection is a GOOD thing?” he said, seeming very confused. I held out my hand to him and pointed to the ring. “Ohhhhh,” he said. “Wait, WHAT? Du guys got engaged?” I laughed, “Good job, David. Du figured it out!” as David embraced me in a hug as well. “You guys, I wish that I could have MEN of honor at my wedding. But, unfortunately, there are only MAIDS of honor. oder bridesmaids.” I sagte finally, sitting down. Gavin chuckled and pointed at Spencer. “You’re in luck! Spencer would make a real perty bridesmaid,” he sagte as Spencer nudged him. I laughed. After thinking for a minute, I finally blurted, "I COULD have men of honor!" "Is that even allowed?" Spencer said. I shrugged. "I hope so." I hugged them again and then decided to head home.
