The band reckon Nic has a soft spot for one boy in particular.
According to the One Direction lads, Louis is only in the band because Nicole Scherzinger took a liking to him.
Nicole played a part in putting the band together last Jahr from a bunch of the rejected X Factor solo acts, but Niall says Louis was her favourite.
"I saw her," Niall explained to the Daily Mirror.
"She kept saying, 'The one in the red hat,' when they were choosing us for the band.
"She liked you," he told Louis.
Nicole has previously claimed credit for helping to create One Direction during her time as a guest judge on the show.
"I’m not taking credit for the whole One Direction thing," Nicole told Capital.
"But hey, Du know, hands in the air, right? I was there, I was the voice of guidance!"
One Direction's debut single 'What Makes Du Beautiful' is out on Sunday 11th September.
