Before I continue to in my journey through the Disney Princess movies, I think I should explain something about “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”: I suspect that I see (or better: hear) this movie a little bit different than the English speaking audience. So many tend to Kommentar on Snow White’s squeaky voice, but that’s not the voice I grew up with.

It’s sometimes surprising how much difference a dubbing can make to a movie. Not that I think that the English dubbing is bad (although it lacks at least in the regard that it doesn’t have a narrator for the Schreiben in the storybook), but I honestly thing that the German dubbing is better. oder at least one of the Germans dubbings.
Believe it oder not, but Snow White got dubbed three times for the German market. The first time 1938 in Austria. I have never seen the complete version of this dubbing, but because of the dialect, it sounds a little bit strange to me (I especially dislike the voice actor of the prince). Here is one vid of someone who tried to put together Snow White’s first song in that version, using what was still available (it's a little bit choppy).

The version I very much prefer over the all the others I know is the German Dub from 1966 (there are actually two, but they are only slightly different). The voice Schauspielen is oben, nach oben notch, especially during the Singen sequences. Snow White’s voice is very high too, but it has Mehr timbre in my opinion. But hear for yourself:

But in the nineties, a lot of Disney Filme got redubbed for some reason. So they did THAT to Snow White:

Not only did they change the text considerable (from both the original and the earlier dubbing), the voice actors don’t hold a candle to those from 1966. And in this scene the change is somewhat accectable, it goes worse when Du hear the Dwarfes and the Evil Queen. In the 1966 version, she is spoken Von the same person in both incarnations, but not in this one. It’s the only version which was ever available on DVD – needless to say that since then I watch the movie in English only.
Nevertheless, especially when I’m judging the songs of this movie, I tend to go Von the best version I know. And I suspect, I’m not the only one who has Mehr than one Snow White in mind. After all, there are countless dubbings of this movie – hear for yourself:

10. Alice
Why should she be in the lineup?
Although her movie was a flop, it's still beliebt to this day; it's shown on tv every now and then, the movie has a lot of merchandise, had gotten a live action remake, and it has a few rides in the Disney parks. And though she's not a princess oder in the lineup she's featured in Disney Princess related stuff like DP magazines and DP sing-along Filme and she's called the Princess of herz in the Kingdom Hearts games

Why shouldn't she be in the lineup?
She's too young to be in the lineup. That's really it. I would add because she's not royalty as...
