“How did Du get in here?” Robin asked. Caleb shrugged, “I traced the call that she made to me back to here. Then I hacked the entrance system!” Wally stared back at him, “Wow… You’re like a mini-Robin!” Caleb smiled back at him proudly. Hailey rolled her eyes and sighed dramatically. “Pardon me, but do Du have any information on where Mercy might be?” Kaldur asked with a great emphasis. “We already know that she’s with 2 of the most lethal people we’ve faced. They go Von the names of Brennan Delmar and Maura Hartley. We killed one of their teammates …and now for revenge, they’re looking to kill off our team, one Von one.” Hailey sagte with her hand placed firmly on her hip. “Well, what’s left of it…” Caleb muttered under his breath. Hailey quickly cut him off with a sharp elbow into his rib cage. He let out a sharp yelp. “Personally, I think they’re back in Chicago. But Mr. Logic here, thinks that they’re somewhere in this area.” Hailey looked over the entire team. All the faces were calm, except Aqualad, whose face was filled with worry. “I’m sorry… Kaldur, is it?” Caleb walked over to Kaldur as Hailey went to go talk with the others of the team. “How do Du know my name?” Kaldur asked. Caleb smiled and tapped his head with his index finger. “Mind reader, healer, the whole shebang!” He sagte happily. Kaldur gave off a weak smile, and looked down at the ground. “You miss her, don’t you?” Caleb asked gently. “In the beginning, I only thought of her as another addition. But now, I am Sekunde guessing my feelings toward her.” Caleb smiled larger than he did before, but after a few seconds, it diminished into a solemn face. “You know, she’s had her herz broken before. His name was Gavin, the first guy to actually connect with her, and start the little team that we had. It seemed like nothing in the WORLD would tear them apart. He was the Sekunde to go. Hadrian, Brennan, and Maura were this close to killing Mercy,” Caleb put his index finger and his thumb close together, “And he took the blow for her. She was devastated, for weeks on end. Nothing we could say oder do would snap her out of it. Then, Sophie died, and Mercy ran away. She was gone for 3 months. We thought she was dead until we found her right outside of Hadrian, Brennan, and Maura’s base. Hailey and her ended up setting the place to explode. -“ “I like playing with things that explode!” Hailey added quickly. “- Then, she started to act like nothing had ever happened in the first place. But that was only because she thought they were dead. Brennan and Maura will now stop at NOTHING to kill us.” Kaldur looked up at Caleb, “I am sorry for what happened to her and Du team, but I will in no way EVER hurt her. That is, if she decides to choose me also.” Caleb shrugged, “Just thought Du might want to know. Ya’ know, in case she ever flips out about it. And trust me, she will like Du back. I have no doubt in my mind about that. Oh yeah, just another little tidbit, NEVER bring up the topic of her past.” Caleb started to smile again. “Wh-“ Kaldur started but was interrupted once again Von Caleb, “Just… Don’t.”
