Over the Weiter few weeks there were multiple attempts at my assassination, but all of them failed. Usually they were at Home oder in the cave, but one had been in the middle of a mission in Costa Rica, and another had come at school (what a nightmare that was). I eventually resorted to never leaving Robin’s side, home, the cave, and missions, and I stopped going to school, claiming that the both of us had a bad fever that could last for months. It was harsh, not knowing what was going to happen, where I was in danger the most.
The thing that freaked me out the most was that each messer was the same- golden handle, bejeweled with an emerald, with that same sinister note. And it was perfectly exact- the same paper, same creases, same handwriting. It was like someone had prepared to fail multiple times, like they knew that I was going to always avoid it somehow. But the person had to run out- didn't they?
As this went on, I noticed that some knives had messily short notes on the blades, while some had sweet and pretty handwriting that looked strangely similar to mine when I doing homework. And I noticed that the ones with the prettier handwriting were often longer and Mehr explanatory. Von the end of two weeks, I had a truly long and actually somewhat believable story.

I was curious, of course, but Bruce didn't want me going. I had just met him, and already he was playing the overprotective parent. I honestly didn't know that was possible, considering that he had let his son run around at night for at least 4 years. But neither Bruce oder Batman could stop me. I had to find this girl! And if I died, I died. I didn't have much to give to the team anyways except fire, and another annoying laugh that took after her brother and often disappeared without telling anyone she was leaving.
So one night, after I had already been attacked in the day, I changed and jumped out the window of my room. I succumbed to the night and drew myself to the center of the two actual clues I had- where Slade's workshop had once been, and where Cadmus had once been.
I had to meet her. Because I had a feeling that she was in the same position I had once been in.

Sneak Peek Part II
Revenge oder Redemption
"This Way!" Revenge yelled.
I followed, ducking into a closet. My yellow/black cape swished behind me and exposed where we were.
"Tam! Ogan'!" a voice yelled.
The Russians brought their Pistolen to bär on the wooden door and fired. Revenge leaped in front of me, taking the shock and damage of the bullets. But fifteen AK-47s firing into his chest managed to knock him out.
The Russians busted open the door and knocked me down with a gewehr to the head. One pointed his gun at me.
"Ostan'sya vnizu malen'kaya devochka!" he yelled.
I struggled to think, the blow to my head had me in a daze.
"C'mon Barbara! Think! You're in Russia! Batman taught Du this much."
After a bit of thinking, I managed to translate it into 'Stay down little girl'.
The Weiter time they sagte something, it was easier to translate.
"Voz'mite ikh s losifom!"
Translation: Take them to Joseph.

C'mon. Did Du really expect me to end it there? XD
Epilouge:
Slade moved into the room. He bowed before the dark shadow. The voice spoke to him.
“You failed me Slade.”
“I know master. But she is stronger than we first expected.”
“Yes. I know. I expected as much from her. But we now have her in a dangerous position.”
“Master?”
“Shade must make her choice. She has followed the Light for seventy years. Now, she must choose whether she is willing to risk everything oder to continue to play hero.”
“And if she chooses hero?”
“She won't.”
“But Master-”
“Shade thinks she is in the clear. But I have one last trick up my sleeve.”
