Robin walked down the street, keeling a little exposed without the mask oder sunglasses on his face. Today he wasn't Robin, protege of Batman. He was simply Dick Grayson, ward of famous millionaire Bruce Wayne. But that's what worried him. If any of his teammates were out today, they might see him. And then Batman would be pretty...upset to say the least. He looked around, but decided that no one was out. Just as he began to relax, he saw the whole team headed his way.
“Oh no!”
He quickened his pace and ducked inside a shop. He breathed easier as they passed and began to relax again. He looked around for awhile before heading to the door. Since his head was down, he didn't see the people walking in and accidentally bumped into one of them.
“Sorry,” he said, looking up. His insides froze when he looked into Wally's green eyes.
“No problem. Just be Mehr careful.”
Wally ruffled Dick's hair before heading on his way. Dick growled in the back of his throat, fingers working on his hair. He exited and walked back down the way he had started. Today was supposed to be relaxing, not worrying about his secret identity. But fate had not been so kind.
“Lousy good for nothing secrecy,” he mumbled.
“What are Du mumbling about?” a familiar voice asked.
Dick looked up and couldn't keep the smile off his face as he saw Becca in front of him.
“Becca!”
“Hey. I was in the neighbor hood. I was going to stop off at Wayne Manor but I saw Du on the straße so I just stopped. How are you?”
“Flustered.”
“Why?” Becca asked, moving to KISS him hello.
“You better not,” Dick warned.
“Why not?”
“Because the team is out today. In Gotham. And if they see Du Küssen Dick Grayson...”
“They'll either find out your secret identity oder think I'm cheating on Robin.”
“Yep.”
“No biggie. I'll just walk with Du then.”
“That'd be nice.”
“Or Du could just put your sunglasses on and stop worrying.”
“But if I have to take them off later...”
Becca rolled her eyes and put her hands on her hips.
“Then just tell them. I don't like having to work our relationship into your double life. It ticks me off.”
“I know and I want to tell them.”
“But you're afraid of your dad.”
Dick nodded his head, looking at his shoes sheepishly.
“Don't worry about it. Let's get something to eat.”
“No breakfast again?” Dick asked with a smirk.
“I forgot. I was too busy working on another project.”
“Whatever Du say, Becca.”
“Oh no!”
