"Erica, look out--never mind."
Conner had stopped me too late; I tripped on something and fell flat on the floor.
"Gotta work on that," I muttered as I rubbed my forehead. It turns out that the thing I tripped on was the Robin from this world. I felt for his pulse; it was beating normally.
"You okay?" My Robin helped me up, and I sighed in relief.
"What did they do to you?" I asked as Megan, Aqualad, and Kid Flash ran up to us.
He shrugged. "They tried to mentally rob me of all my knowledge of our Earth, but something was blocking it."
"That was me." Megan smiled proudly.
"We have no time for courtesies," Jeannette cut in. "Evelyn's already called a Suchen for you. I have to get Du Home immediately."
"How?" we all chimed in.
She smirked. "Evy's not the only one with a portal. Follow me."
"How did Du hide this?" Artemis asked as Jenny was preparing the coordinates for the portal.
"For a long time, me, Roy, and some other Heroes were planning to build a secret organization against the Wilderness. It was really hard making it, with most of our members destroyed Von Evelyn and her friends."
"Are Du sure you'll be okay?" Aqualad questioned.
She smiled. "Don't worry. I was trained Von the best." She winked at me.
Finally, Jeannette had made the final touches, and the portal was whirring endlessly. "This should get Du to Gotham City. I've already replaced the hole we made in your planet," she added apologetically.
"We can't thank Du enough for this," I said,
"You don't have to. I'll try to visit some time... oder maybe not." She closed her eyes, and I saw Megan wipe a tear from her eye.
We all jumped into the portal, one Von one. I felt the horrendous feeling of my body being wrenched apart again, but at least I was going home.
I felt the ground touch my feet, and I opened my eyes. The familiar Gotham City wound around us, the same except without the giant hole.
"Yes! Home at last!" KF kissed the ground, and Artemis made a disgusted sound.
"We'll Berichten to Batman," Aqualad said, and the rest of the team besides me and Robin left in the bioship.
"Come on," Robin sagte to me, and we walked on the sidewalk, hand in hand.
"What's wrong?" he asked after a while. He didn't seem to care that we were still in our costumes.
I sighed. "It was... hard seeing her again."
"I know."
"Why do Du think Megan was crying?"
"You noticed, too?" He smiled, obviously because he wasn't alone in the matter. "I think she was just remembering the past."
"I hate the past," I murmured.
He laughed. "I'll cheer Du up."
We walked into an ice cream shop, silently accepting our memories of the past.
