Moving On, Episode One: Cold as Ice, Part Two

"The frost bit at my uncovered skin, leaving my limbs numb and limp."

I found myself at the Gotham City Zoo, which was closed for today. I ignored the weekly schedule and jumped the fence, landing softly on the concrete ground behind it.
I need to hurry, I thought. After sunset, I won't be able to see well.
I followed the icy trail, which led me to the polar bär exhibit. I pressed my face to the cold glass, waiting to find a hint of Mr. Freeze.
Nothing. All I could see was the clear, blue water. I was hoping for one of his bears to swim by, but I was also afraid of being seen.
I looked up. The tank was open at the top, but going in the water meant risking my life. I found a landing and climbed it, leaping off the edge of the tank and plunging into the water.
The frost bit at my uncovered skin, leaving my limbs numb and limp. Instinctively, I pressed my arms to my torso, trying to gather all the warmth I could get.
Great job, Erica. Now Batman's sure to make me work all night!
I cautiously stretched out an arm and pulled my body to the surface. I was half-freezing when I pulled myself out of the water, and fell to the concrete zoo floor.
The pain of my landing barely hurt--it was the cold I was worrying about. Suddenly, I heard a beeping noise from the inside of my pocket.
I pulled out my communicator and stuck it to my ear. "H-hello?"
"Did Du get him?" asked a recovering Robin.
"N-no, I l-lost him." Usually I'd be embarrassed, but I didn't have enough heat inside me to blush.
"What's wrong? Did he freeze you?" he sounded worried.
"N-no. I was just being s-stupid. See Du back at b-base."
I hung up, and rocked back and forth, clutching my body close together. I found a towel hanging nearby, and wrapped it around myself. I decided not to use the Bat rope, for the air would just make me even cooler.
I jumped the fence again, and started walking toward the telephone booth. I passed Gotham Labs, which was a laboratory that tested on unhopeful causes.
I peered inside one of the windows, wondering what they were testing in there. Two scientists in white labcoats were taking notes on something.
Quietly, I stepped inside, careful not to make any noise. And then I saw it.
A blonde woman was in a large glass tube filled with water, and that could only mean one thing.
This was what Mr. Freeze was after, but he just couldn't find it. Nora Fries, his wife.

I pulled a Batarang from my gürtel and threw it at the glass.

"Nora Fries, his wife."

Denelys ohh yeah his wife developed a rare sickeness with no cure so he froze her until he found a cure and not let her die but Poison Ivy unfroze her and blamed Batsy then he figured out and i forgot that movie is so old I forgot imagine that.

As we walked through the halls of WayneTech, we exchanged nothing but silence. The Zurück predicament still left us shaking, and now we were out to Suchen for more. It was obvious that Scarecrow knew of our presence, which is why he had the gas sprayed all over the building. Every now and then I heard rats squeaking, glass breaking, and spiders crawling, but none of them so much as gave me a start.
Oddly enough, Robin knew his way around the building. Without getting lost, we retrieved and destroyed much of the fear serums, but we weren't done unless we found Scarecrow.
Finally, letting go...

"Okay, so the last time Du saw Scarecrow, he was at Arkham Asylum, right?" Robin confirmed.
I nodded. "Yep."
He eyed a stranger who was looking at us intently; the only couple wearing strange clothing. "And he wants to upgrade his serum, so that means--"
"He needs a lab!" I finished. I loved it when I felt smart.
He smiled. "Right, love. And whose lab has the best up-to-date equipment suitable for a fear serum?"
There's star, sterne Labs, LexCorp, and... "I got one... WayneTech. There's no other richer lab in the country."
Robin looked solemn for a moment, gazing at the moon.
I nudged him softly....

Revenge threw a few daggers towards the red-headed villainess.

"Nice try." Ivy sagte as the daggers flew behind her. "You'll have to do better than that."

"Poison Ivy." she said.

"Hey dear," the red-head said, stepping into the light as the vines slowly slithered up Holly's legs. "Long time no see."
