“You guys really don’t need to do this” I said. The team had picked me up in a ‘Queen’s Chair’ position and were carrying me to the bio ship.
“It was either us oder Superman, so it’s your pick” Kalder pointed out.
“I know, but I can walk. My legs aren’t broken” I said, trying to get up.
“Night. We’re carrying you. Whether Du like it oder not“ Artemis said. I sighed. They carried me to the bio ship and placed me gently in a seat. The buckles appeared and went over my body. We flew right to a hospital where Megan used her telekinesis to bring me in. We went straight to the front desk. The lady sagte we could go straight to room 231. We went up the stairs and into the room. A doctor was there. Megan laid me down carefully on the bed. I looked at the doctor.
“Before Du start, can Du knock me out with antiseptic?” I asked
“Okay, but Du know it won’t hurt” he said
“It’s not the pain I care about. It’s seeing and hearing my bone being cracked into place” I shuddered. He laughed slightly and put me on the antiseptic. I awoke later to find my arm in a cast and bandages around my ribs. I propped myself up. Superman came in.
“Night, I am so sorry. I knew what I was doing, but I couldn’t stop” he apologized.
“It’s not your fault. I knew the risks. All that matter’s is that Roulette and Sonar are back in jail and I have both my parents back” I said. I looked at my blank white cast.
“Will Du sign my cast?” I asked, holding it out. He grabbed a permanent marker and wrote Superman in cursive. I smiled.
“Connor, would Du mind getting the team in here?” I whispered. A couple Minuten later, the walked through the door. Megan was holding a balloon and Artemis was holding a card.
“Thanks, guys. Will Du sign my cast?” I held out my arm. They all signed it. Batman came in with Green Arrow, Black Canary and Huntress. They were all in uniform. I held out my cast and they all signed.
“You really didn’t have to come” I said, getting up. “It’s just a cast”
“It’s not the cast that brought us here. It’s how Du got it. Du stood fearlessly up to one of the most powerful people in the league. Du barely attacked, even though he was being brainwashed. Du let him throw Du around and almost kill you. Yet, Du act like it was nothing. That is why we are here” Batman sagte solemnly.
“The real Frage here, is why?” sagte a new voice. A man in a long blue overcoat, a blue fedora, a blue vest, blue pants and an orange hemd, shirt walked in. But where his face should have been, was blank.
“Who are you?” I asked
“I am Question. Now will Du answer mine?” he nodded
“I found it was easier to stall Sup’s then it would have been to stop Roulette. I’ve never been good with psychopaths” I laughed
