i have this book that im Schreiben and it is going REALLY well. the genres are historical and realistic fiction (kinda like new-realism), a little romance, and tragedy (sp?). its about:

this greaser named August Lawson and his gang. during the story he meets his old friend Johanna "Johnnie" Gatlyn. he starts talking to her more. then one night August is with his buddies Henry and Danny. theyre at a bar and they go to their hangout. Henry and Danny leave and August is alone. then he finds Johnnie and they talk more. THEN they run into Henry and after that some rich kids come along. Henry kills one of the kids and the three run away.

thats all im giving. theres Mehr to it. trust me. it gets better.

now i know what ur thinkin: "wow that sounds like The Outsiders!" yes i realize that. so heres what i say to u: "who cares??" my book is original. sure it KINDA sounds like it but its NOT the outsiders. it isnt a retelling oder a remake. its my own original story. sure, i know Hinton owns the outsiders but she doesnt own the idea of Schreiben about social class rivalries. so im allowed to write about it too! agreed?
