When it comes to the Filme made Von Rob Zombie, they’re kinda hit oder miss for me. Some of them can be good, and others, like Halloween, can be the worst thing I’ve ever seen. So, naturally, when I heard of this one animated movie Von Rob Zombie, I was…. Interested, to say the least. Not sure if I wanted to watch it, but, I gave it a try. I decided to buy the movie off line, since the film was straight-to-video, and gave it a watch… And it was definitely a film that I enjoyed… kinda. So, let’s talk about the movie that few know as The Haunted World of El Superbeasto.

Now, I don’t know much about Rob Zombie with the only technical disc I have with their Musik being….. The video game, Rock of the Dead (Probably should review that sometime). Thankfully, my older brother is a Fan of them, so I decided to ask him what this movie was about, yet even he didn’t know what the film was. It makes sense that no one, not even huge Rob Zombie fans, know much on this movie, since it was straight-to-video, which must mean it was a very underrated film. Now, the reason I decided to watch this movie was the animation. It looked so well done and colorful, that I just had to keep my eyes on it. But, it also looked very familiar. I decided to look up the Animation company, and found they had also worked on Ren and Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon……. Ooooooohhh…. Shit.

So, this movie, as I said, was directed Von Rob Zombie, and follows an actor/director and luchador named El Superbeasto, who has an ego so big, it fits his arrogant celebrity personality. He, along with his super agent sister, Suzi-X and her robot sidekick, Murray the Robot, must stop the evil villain known as Doctor Satan from marrying the stripper Velvet Von Black, who has the mark of the beast printed on her…. backside. Now, already, this film sounds incredibly stupid… And it is. But I Liebe it for so many reasons. First off, the setting. The city the characters live in, known as Monsterland, which is a place filled with people living with classical monsters. It’s such a unique setting. Usually, people are trying to kill monsters. Instead, there living with them. I mean, they kill some monsters, but only threatening ones. But I’ll talk about that later. The entire movie is… How do I put this… A very overly-sexual film. Von that, I mean there’s nudity all over this movie, and I mean A LOT! It gets a bit hard to watch the film when there’s a lot of nudity. I’m not gonna be the person that says, “This movie is sexist because of women being naked”. No, that’s dumb. I’m saying that it needs to at least decrease the nudity. There’s too much in this movie. There’s a point where it’s a movie, and a point where it becomes softcore porn. I can barely Suchen for Bilder that don’t have nudity in some way. It gets a bit… difficult.

Now, some of Du may wonder why I haven’t talked about the “horror” in this movie that is Mehr of a comedy. Well, sure, it’s not that scary, really. But I’ll tell Du what it does have. Constant references to classical horror literature. I’m a huge Fan of horror (No duh). So seeing all these references just makes like a little kid. A very mentally screwed up kid, but still a little kid. There’s Dracula, wolf Man, Phantom of the Opera, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Frankenstein. Even references to classical horror movies, like Creature of the Black Lagoon, Saucer Men, Jack Nicholson from The Shining, the Chestbursters from Aliens, and Captain Spaulding from Rob Zombie’s other films like The Devil’s Rejects. This film has dozens of references and I Liebe them.

Now, I’ve sagte before that this movie was made Von the animators that did Adult Party Cartoon, a Zeigen that I found to be… disgusting. It was trying way too hard to be violent and gross that it forgot to be funny. Yes, The Haunted World of El Superbeasto is a bit vulgar, raunchy, and gory. In fact. In fact, I think that it’s even Mehr nasty without FCC limitations you’d get on TV. But, El Superbeasto also manages to be funny. The crude scenes and gore manage to have some good humor that, honestly, had me laughing a few times, even if they may be a bit screwed up. I don’t know. Maybe my Liebe for Panty and strumpf with Garterbelt are what make me enjoy Filme like this. I’m not sure how to describe this film. Rob Zombie sagte that this film was like if Spongebob and Scooby Doo were filthy, and…. Yeah, that sounds about right.

Well, I don’t know what to say. If you’re tired of overly serious Rob Zombie films, and just want a well animated film with some good comedy, then this is for you. It may not be for everyone, what with the immature sense of humor and nudity all over the place, it still manages to entertain a few people. Du can find this on DVD for dirt cheap online. This movie needs all the money it can get what with being in development hell for three years. And also, buy the action figures of the two main characters. This is not an advertisement, I swear. Mini review on the action figures. They look just like the cartoon characters, so I say buy them, and then tell everyone you’re great because Du don’t watch mainstream animated Filme Von Disney. Anyway, that outta do it for me. Go watch this movie and either laugh oder be disgusted. Take care.
