Damon poured himself a glass of bourbon and drank it out. He spit it out.
“Yeah, I put vervain in all your drinks” a familiar voice said. Damon turned around and saw Katherine standing in the doorway of the living room. “I told Du Du had to drink vervain again. I thought Elena would’ve convinced Du Von now”
Damon looked away.
“That’s right. Trouble in paradise” Katherine said. “If I were Du I’d try really hard to make things okay. We don’t want her to run back to Stefan, do we?”
Damon looked up angry. “She wouldn’t do that. Elena isn’t like that. I just…need to get over myself. I have to pull myself together and forget what happened”
Katherine nodded. “And while Du deal with your issues Elena is going to need someone to distract her. Because if you’re with her Du only take your problems out on her and you’ll only push her away”

“Which is why I think it would be a good idea if I moved back in. The two of Du could use Mehr people in this house and if I have to watch Stefan and Rebekah much longer I’m going to be sick” Katherine said, ignoring Damon’s comment.

I watched season two in a rather piecemeal fashion. I was so disgusted that Damon was the one who loved Katherine for all those years, and she only loves Stefan. As a result I'm rewatching Vampire Diaries and having to fill in the missing pieces. Lesen recaps doesn't really do it. It's when I watch the actual episodes I really start thinking about things.
