Why does everyone hate Mockingjay?

I Disliked Mockingjay for several reasons:
1)THEY KILLED FINNICK. This is probably the main reason why I disliked Mockingjay. Finnick was, and still is, my Favorit character in the hunger games trilogy, and when I read about his death, I was devastated. I also didn't like how Suzanne collins wrote about his death. It was like one moment he was there, and then he was gone, and no one mentioned him for the rest of the book.
2)I'm on team Gale. I hated how things turned out for him at the end, how he ran away to district 2 and how he Lost touch with Katniss, because even if they aren't together, they're still best friends, and I think it was awful how their relationship got ruined.
3)Prim died. It was really sad, considering Katniss went to the hunger games in the first place to protect her, to keep her alive, and it was like it was all for nothing.
4)What they did to Peeta. I'm not a big Fan of Peeta, but I don't hate him either, and after all that he and Katniss went through.. It was just really sad that he was frightened Von her and hated her.
5)Annie alone with a child on the way. I felt so bad for Annie when Finnick died, because I don't think she had any other family beside him, and they just got married, and then she found out that she's pregnant. For me, the whole thing was really tragic.

So these are the reasons why I disliked Mockingjay, and I know some may disagree with me, but this is why I don't think I'll ever read Mockingjay ever again (But I will read Hunger games and Catching feuer again, because those Bücher where just increadible. Too bad the trilogy ended up like it did.)

I completely agree- Mockingjay was Von far my Favorit because i Liebe to watch how Katniss's relationships with Gale and Peeta change, and i think that it's insgesamt the most meaningful. But i can see why lots of people wouldn't like it because of Katniss choosing Peeta, and also how many deaths there are, including Prim's and Finnick's, which i still hurt ;_;
There's also the fact that Katniss and Peeta are never really the same, although they get married and have kids, there's still that sadness that never really seems to go away, and that can make the whole book really hard to like.

Not "everyone" hates it. I don't hate the entire book. I just really didn't like the ending--and no, I wasn't looking for a happy ending (that would be unrealistic) and it's not because I'm on a certain "Team" (I'm not). As others have said, I think certain characters were not gegeben their due. I really didn't like how Collins just shuffled Gale off to the side. But the epilogue annoyed me the most. I'm sick of dystopian Bücher ending on a "but children are the future!" note. That said, the last line was perfect.

I think it went the right direction. It is a war people, and after the events of Catching Fire, where else did Du want her to take us? A war seemed pretty inevitable to me in all honesty. And, get this, people die in war---even the innocents. I think people don't like it because characters Du did not expect to die were killed, the lack of a perfect ending, and honestly being taken out of a comfort zone.

oder even the whole "teams" deal. I like Gale, but he and Katniss are Mehr suited as friends. Like Katniss said, she didn't need his feuer because she had plenty enough on her own. But she needed hope and peace and a promise that things would be better, and she found that in Peeta, I believe. And I really liked how the children were added, because it seemed that after bits and pieces of hope went missing throughout the series, and things were destroyed, that was like rebuilding hope and trust and Liebe again. Like things were complete. Especially loved the parts where Katniss says that she remembers every act of kindness she has ever seen someone do, and it gets repetitive some days, like a game. Then tops it off perfectly, if not leaving a bittersweet feeling after it, that there are worse games to play. For me, that ties the events of each book leading up to that moment. When I read that part, I see the tributes of the 74th Games and the 3rd Quarter Quell, then the war.

I don't remember this part clearly, but it's a little bit after, in her dream/nightmare, that Katniss is being pulled into water. I think that's what it is---that she wants to go but can't? I just see everyone who has died up to that point pulling on Katniss' arms, like they are taking her to a better place with no Hunger Games oder Capitol.

I liked the hijacking for one reason: it shows that nobody is safe. Not even the best soul out there. There was much death and bloodshed, but after the ending of Catching Fire, I really do not know how else it could have gone. A rosy, fairytale ending was never in store for Katniss Everdeen.

I don't feel as though everyone hates the book 'Mockingjay", whether the many deaths of Favorit characters that came along with it. I have the same feelings with Deathly Hallows of the Harry Potter series, because pretty much all of the best characters in my view died.
It's like Du feely our Favorit characters are invincible, until that moment they're killed off. The emotions most likely bring the hate.

I think a lot of people don't like it because it was so sad. A lot of the characters die. Like Finnick (why, why?!). I think only about three people- correct me if I'm wrong, it's been a little while- survived that last mission. The, when Prim died a lot of people probably though "What the HECK?!?! Prim?! Du killed PRIM?!?! WHY?!?!" The amount of death and sadness was probably deemed unnecessary to many people. Me being one of those people. I thought it was just okay, there was too mush death and Katniss seemed really crazy at the end. And I mean REALLY nuts.

I don't hate Mockingjay per say, it's just my least favourite book in the trilogy, but I can explain why it's my least favourite and guess why others might hate it.

1. Character deaths. It's hard to accept the death of a favourite character, no matter how realistic a portrayal of war this makes oder even how essential to the story the death could be. Some people can't stand the deaths of any main oder semi-main characters. For me, Finnick was one of my favourites, and when I tried to accept his death I just wound up realising how pointless it was. The entire fake mission was pointless. If Katniss hadn't made it up, the only consequences (other than lives saved) would be that she'd be told of Prim's death (and maybe shown footage of it if she didn't believe) instead of witnessing it directly.

Similar with Prim's death. Some people say this makes the entire series pointless, since the story started with Katniss sacrificing herself to protect her little sister. I get the irony in that and see the necessity, but others don't.

2. Pacing and the way the story is conveyed. Because Katniss sees so little of the war, I don't feel that telling the story from her POV works as well in the third book.

3. Some people dislike the absence of Peeta for half the book and then his hijacking. A lot of people Liebe his character and then he isn't Schauspielen like himself for ages.

4. Some people, I think, just are annoyed that the Liebe dreieck didn't work out how they wanted (though to me, it was obvious that Peeta was the one for Katniss about halfway through Catching Fire). Others don't like how Gale was portrayed oder how his friendship with Katniss ended.

There are actually many reasons that the Hunger Games :mockingjay was hated Von many but i think the main reason is that it was unfinished. We dont find out about how any other of the characters lives play out. What comes of Gale and Effie ?? Is there order in the capital now ? What happens to the other districts ??

Well, I guess part of the fandom (me included) wanted Katniss to end up with Gale

I've also read that some people wanted Mehr action and fightings in that book.

woah!! i never knew(until now) that people hated mockingjay..i guess it's because of finnick, prim, and katniss not ending up with gale..i liked it though, but what REALLY rocked my world was HUNGER GAMES!!i sort of felt hung-up though on the last book..i expected quite more..but..IT WAS GOOD :D

I enjoyed this book.
I guess a lot of people didn't like it, because it was different and a lot of their favourite characters died. Also their expectations might have been a little higher for the conclusion of the trilogy.

It's sad i cried. I've read tuck everlasting without a tear shed! They let Finnick die! Prim dies! Peeta wants to kill Katniss! And they dont even say anything about Gale in the end!

I didnt hate it i had no idea a lot of people didnt like it! I thought it was a great way to end the story. I mean not all Bücher can have happy endings and I know I have a tendancy to get bored with Bücher that are so happy dappy in the end.Personaly I think that with out all those surprises in Mockingjay the book would have been boring.

I am Lesen the book right now and am about 2/3 of the way through it. I dont hate it, but there are parts where I am having a really hard time not hating Katniss. There are other parts where she is okay though.
I dont mind so much that it is depressing, because I starting Lesen these Bücher knowing that the entire premise was pretty depressing. All in all, I have to say that I liked the first book the best.

I didn't hate it per say, it was my least Favorit tho. My oben, nach oben reason is I didn't like the way she just shoved Gale to the side. I didn't like that they didn't end up together either, buuut...I think his character deserved a whole better than "a fancy job in District 2". stier, bull shit. I didn't like that Katniss assumed he would be Küssen another girl there. I didn't like that Finnick oder Prim died. I didn't like how Katniss blamed Gale for Prim's death just because he helped invent the bomb that killed her. Because I believe that had Prim not died, but the bombs had still gone off, she wouldn't have cared.

Yeah, did I mention I hated that she married Peeta....? Oh, well I did.

mockingjay is my least Favorit book in the trilogy, but i dont hate it. i think that because there was no games, it was a little boring at times. FINNICK DIES. i seriously didnt even wanna finish Lesen the book after finnick died :( that was the saddest most unnecesary thing ever. i didnt like how peeta was kind of evil oder whatever for a while. it was stretching it a little too much for me how peeta hated katniss and she still ended up with him and not gale who she SHOULD have ended up with. its just really depressig to gale fans. totally innocent characters die (PRIM RIP). i did like it though because it didnt leave any loose ends. i hate it when Bücher end and Du still have Fragen but this had a conclusive somewhat happy ending (if Du like peeta...)

I don't hate it at all, in fact it's my Sekunde top. Maybe... I Liebe them all xD

But I disliked it that Finnick died. It was really bad! He was so awesome!! And Gale just left like he never was there... But still, I can't hate it. It is really good anyway! <3

I had the hardest time grasping the fact that Prim died i thought maybe they unleashed trackers jackers, oder maybe when Gale was captured so was Katniss and now she was being hijacked like Peeta. but then I found out she actually died. of course I wanted peeta to be with her but I wanted him fixed totally and why did so many people die? I am still very depressed at the whole thing. I thought that when Katniss kissed him that time in the tunnels he would go back to normal that he would remember. I feel so terribly horrified now that I know the Filme are coming out. Two things still hang on my mind till today: 1. Katniss efforts to save Prim were wasted and she should have just let Prim go to the Games in the first place. 2. Katniss knowing what the games were like Von experiencing it twice, and knowing what Peeta sagte about the dying people, and knowing how she felt when all those people were killed, should not have sagte yes to another Games i don't care if it was President Snow's children in the arena.

I don't like the fact that Katniss is so reliant others, she doesn't stand out on her own at all, and Du would think that she would due to the book being called Mockingjay

Something about the ending really bothered me. I liked it up until the last few chapters. What annoyed me the most is that Gale just left forever, and it's not because I like him better. I like Peeta better. I just thought him and Katniss could have remained friends. Other than that, I'm not sure.

Even though I thought Mockingjay was alright, it sorta let me down. I mean, it almost seems like Suzanne banished Gale forever just so Katniss could feel an ounce better for marrying Peeta. And their relationship just isn't really the true Liebe it used to be. It's almost like Peeta just sagte "Well apparently I used to like this girl, so let's just go with that." It's like he doesn't even really Liebe her anymore. And I gotta say, Prim and Finnick were my fav characters besides the Katniss and Peeta from the first book. It just seemed like she was trying to kill everyone off too soon; yeah, the Hunger Games is about loss, but I think she should've let the Fans have at least one of our Favorit minor characters live.

Mokingjay was my Favorit book out of the whole series. I know a lot of people didn't like it because of Finnick and Prim's deaths oder what happened to Peeta, oder that she didn't end up with Gale. But, honestly, this isn't a happily ever after kind of book they are at WAR people are going to die, their deaths just make it Mehr realistic. I personally wish Finnick hadn't died but Prim's death had to have happened otherwise Katniss never would have shot Coin instead of Snow. As for what happened to Peeta, he was taken captive that happens when Du are in war and he was tortured even if he hadn't been hijacked he still wouldn't have been the same. It also was an ingenious turn in events Von Suzanne Collins, because, honestly, who saw that coming? I do wish they would have sagte what happened to Gale after the end of Mokingjay, and that he had stayed with Katniss, because he is her best friend and she does need him, but she needs Peeta more.

I don't see what everyone's problem is. I LOVED Mockingjay. Yes, I understand that if Du didn't like it, then Du didn't like it but not liking it because there was little action and too many deaths! Come on! Yes, I will admit, I was as shocked as anyone else when Finnick died, I even cried, but the suddenness and quickness of his death only added to the dramatic effect of the chapter. I WANTED to keep Lesen after that because I wanted the Capitol to pay! I was even Mehr shocked when Prim died but I didn't give up on the book. Everyone died helping Katniss bring down the Capitol. I don't recall anyone saying they hated Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows when Mad-Eye, Fred, Lupin oder Tonks died - they all died helping Harry. But why do people complain for this. It's reality. This stuff happens in wars. People die, innocent people get caught in the crossfire. Seriously guys Du need to read these Bücher with a realistic frame of mind.
And to say there was little action - excuse me, do Du not remember District 8, District 2 and the all the Capitol chapters? Mockingjay was an amazing book and we got to see so many characters develop - yes Katniss is different in this book but Du can see that she is exhausted Von everything. After Finnick dies Du know she means business when she kills that Capitol person. I would just like if people would stop and think about things before they go off and hate them...... P.S. The film will be awesome

I like Mockingjay and I just want to say that if Du hate this book because Finnick and/or Prim died in it, Du have to understand that THG trilogy is not a fairytale, so the people, even the important characters, die. I didn't like those deaths, but I think it's a part of the story we have to assume.

I feel like it was really just rushed together and the book was getting long for example when peeta threw Mitch like four people died I can't remember same thing with finick it was like five and sussane Collins made too many characters so she needed them to disappear like katniss and peeta prep team wasn't necessary only cinna and Portia all of those commanders weren't nesecary

well, i did hate the ending of mockingjay rather than the whole book. mainly because:
the ending was too abrupt. only katniss's recovery is mentioned.
gale is completely cut off at the end of the book, which leaves a lot of unsaid things between katniss and gale. and to be honest, it just seems unfair to gale because he was'nt even gegeben a decent face to face confrontation with katniss.
so many other things are left unanswered, like
what happened to johanna mason?
do people ever really find out the truth about coin?
and the most infuriating part that katniss just DECICDES to end up with peeta. she does'nt even Zeigen any dubt, its like gale never even existed. im team gale, if Du can't tell, Von the way.

I disliked Mockingjay because of the complete unraveling of the characters. Finnick died, Prim died (which seemed terrible to me since her life was Katniss's main purpose all along), and Peeta wasn't Peeta for most of the book. I never wanted Gale and Katniss, but I didn't like how their friendship was ruined either. I thought Katniss was unraveling through most of the story and the ending was very disappointing. She should have chosen the person she loved rather than the one she just happened to end up with. It seemed that she chose Peeta because that's who happened to be there in the end.

Also, Du have no idea how the new government is doing. It seems she traded one regime for another. How is this better? How has life improved? I am not sure it has save for no Hunger Games. I found most of the book to be a big disappointment and I would have enjoyed having some of the characters live and have better fates. We never know what happened to Gale oder Katniss's mother. Her leaving her only daughter for the rest of her life seemed wrong. The ending just seemed rushed, like the Autor had a deadline and couldn't figure out what to do so she just winged it. I found it very disappointing. The Finnick thing pissed me off because not a single character was able to have a happy ending. No one. I understand that realism states not everyone would, but name one character that wasn't left ultimately messed up. I found Mockingjay to be a big disappointment to the otherwise good series. Very anticlimactic.

because Prim dies, they don't tell Du what happened to Katniss' mom and gale, and because at the end, it was like, she was trying to rush up the end so that it could be 27 chapters like the other two, but she could have gone a little Mehr slow on the end.

I had a very rough time Lesen it though, Especially when Finnick & Prim died.

I didn't even know some people disliked the book. But not everyone hates it. But with the ones that do dislike Mockingjay, I actually think it depends because everyone has different Ansichten & opinions.

I just after read it. I didn't cry at all but that does mean I didn't feel a little agitated oder depressed things didn't go my way. It's a really well written book without doubt! Though sometimes, I think Collins leaves the war/fighting go on for too long and then there's little time to develop the relationships even more. The whole Katniss and Peeta thing where he went bonkers, I completely hated that. I just kept wishing to see if hes get 100% better lol. So everything was boring when he wasn't himself. Though, I think Collins portrays the consequences of the war and the whole hunger games and suffering, very effectively in this book 'mockingjay'. Though, if a book makes Du cry, it certainly is a good one? If it has the power to do that.
I really couldn't stop Lesen after the 200 pages mark. Not my Favorit one, but definitely not a bad one! Pack with emotions and courage and growing up.

I dont "hate" mocking eichelhäher, jay its just really boring like i thought it would be amazing like the other 2 Bücher but i was very disappointed also i am a HUGE team peeta Fan (u can tell Von my username) and he was barley in the book so not my fav...i Liebe the ending though!

Actually I didn't know that people dislike Mockingjay. For me it's just perfect. It is very sad, indeed, but I think it shows exactly how human nature is. But what annoyed me the most was the way Gale was left aside, as if he never existed. In fact, I like Peeta better, but it was unfair with Gale. And Katniss blaming him for Prim's death was like blaming the plane creator for the accidents involving flights.
I also didn't enjoy much the fact that so many characters I liked died, but it just showed how war is. It is realistic, war brings death.
There's this quote at the end of the book that resumes what I'm trying to say. It's when the war ended and Katniss asks Plutarch if he's preparing fo another war. He answers: "Oh, not now. Now we're in this sweet period where everyone agrees that our Kürzlich horrors should never be repeated. But collective thinking is usually short-lived. We're fickle, stupid beings with poor memories and a great gift for self-destruction"

I loved it. Yeah it was sad, and I cried when prim died, but the entire point of the Bücher is a game where people fight to the death. People are going to die. Also, while mockingjay is not technically a hunger games, it represents one, so people do have to die. There is no Hunger Games if people don't die. I liked the book, but I miss prim.;(

Maybe because it was so sad and tragic I mean not to be a spoiler if Du haevn't read it (don't read my Kommentar unless Du have read the book) but prim dies and half the time Katniss has a medical condition but I Liebe it!!! I'm currently re Lesen it and it's no worse oder better than the others I like them all just the same.

I think just it's so tragic and not so much action but everything is going on and Katniss is just standing back a bit rather than in the hunger games. But Oh well I loved it!!!

Du know how everyone talks about The Hunger Games series being about war, survival, corruption, and family? (which it is!) And not about love? (Which it is not!) Well, in The Hunger Games and ESPECIALLY Catching Fire, all we really get is Katniss and Peeta’s relationship blossoming and lots of sappy romance, right?

In Mockingjay, it’s mostly about war. As well fighting against a corrupt government, on both sides. And this great romance we had been with for 600+ pages was now gone, and it was almost this whole new book. We had to adjust to these different elements and reactions that don’t come along with Liebe and the coupling we’d been analyzing before.

And the fact that every character we grew to Liebe had either gone mentally insane oder was killed.

Look don't get me wrong oder anything...Mockingjay was an amazing and it still is!

But there are bits that I disliked in it like:
1- KILLING FINNICK ODAIR!!!
2-Prim's death
3-Gale running of thinking that he was the reason Prim was dead.
4-The rushed ending.

I personally think that Mockingjay was the best of all of the books. While a lot of people were upset about Prim's death being unnecessary, myself included, I eventually came to realise that it was necessary for Prim to die, so that Katniss would realise that Coin ruling Panem would be just the same as Snow's rule, both using the lives of children to manipulate people's feelings, and for Katniss to ultimately kill Coin. Whilst people still might be upset Von Gale moving to District 2, there is also a reason for this, simply because he felt too guilty that it was the bombs that he helped Design that killed Prim. Seeing as the only thing that he thought he did for Katniss was protect her family, and now he had failed in that, he felt like he could not be with her as he would always remind her of Prim's death. Katniss originally volunteered to protect Prim, who died in the end, so it could be argued that all of Katniss' efforts were in vain, and that she failed, but she didn't fail. She still overcame the Capitol and made Panem a much better place for future generations, and Prim definitely did not die in vain. The things I was most upset was Katniss' mother not going back to 12 and Finnick's death. When Katniss went Home without her mother her house felt so empty without her, though I understand that it would have brought on lots of painful memories. I don't mind Finnick's dying so much, but they could have devoted Mehr time to him, it just feels like he died and they moved on pretty quickly.

Well, for one, it really didn't have much action in it. I for one thought it was way to gory and that Suzanne Collins should've made it a epilouge not a whhole book.

I didn't really dislike the book just a little disappointed cause some really good characters were killed off like Prim and Finnick. That was sad. I am happy that Katniss was going to end up with Peeta, Du could tell that she was going to anyways. I could also tell that Katniss and Gail would never have worked, why people can't get that through their heads is beyond me.

Because it's super depressing and all the characters we knew from the first and Sekunde Bücher either die oder change to never be the same again (which is almost like them dying).

I personally loved mockingjay except the part when gale leaves katniss but some people dont like it because their fav character dies eg finnick(i loved him) oder because it gets out of control because almost all the chapters has someone dying oder died in it but it mostly depends on the persons opinion

It's a love/hate thug with me.
I hate because she killed Finnick he's my Favorit Hunger Games character, Katniss was a smidgin annoying, & she had shiz happen to Peeta. Besides the things I listed I Liebe the book.

It is soooooooooo sad but it is truly amazing. I will read it again and annoy my family when the movie comes out. Can't wait.

I don't hate Mockingjay. I liked all Bücher in the trilogy. And don't get me wrong, because I'm sure nobody enjoyed all that death and depression, since that would just be sick, but people who hate the book just for all that need to get over it... Not every story has a happy ending. Realistically, life doesn't always have happy endings either. Get over it, people.

They're haters

I personally thought that the first was the best, but I loved Mockingjay too! I think maybe they don't like it because *SPOILER* Prim dies :(. The bit that made me cry was when she was explaining to Buttercup about Prim, instead of her actual death. I guess I was as confused as Katniss then. Guys Gale never knew it would be used, it wasn't his fault! Beetee made it too Du know and it was Coin who dropped it not Gale. I always preferred Gale.

There are may reasons i hate the book.
First, they killed the two Avox, then Madge, Peeta's family and blah,blah. Finnick is my Favorit character and is one of the characters i'll want as an ally. Madge too, is important. She gave Katniss the mockingjay pin, which later become her symbol. And when they killed Prim? I almost sent the Autor a death threat.

i have no idea. mockingjay is my Favorit of the series. katniss actually shows that she loves peeta.

I found Mockingjay rather boring and complicated in parts. At the two key points at the end, Prim dying and Coin not Snow being shot, I had to re-read those pages because I had read those pages and missed those points completely because it just didn't stand out key plot elements should.
insgesamt I found the trilogy to be in the correct order. I find The Hunger Games is best, Catching feuer Sekunde and Mockingjay definetely last. Loads of really cool characters die in Mockingjay and I found the end kind of an anti-climax.

The hunger games is my Favorit BOOK SERIES EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!the first book is my favorite, then the second, then the third.I was a huge Fan for Mockingjay and i think i know what was wrong with it.It kinda seemed like Suzanne Collins was in a hurry to finish the series so she just killed everyone off but the main characters and tossed them back and district 12 (witch made the ending WAAAYYYYY to predictable,Katniss endes up with Peeta,snow is defeated no Mehr Hunger games)its like she just threw an ending together plus finnick died!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:C

I personally liked Mockingjay. It was long, but gegeben enough time and patience it was a good read. An interesting, too, for those who are complaining about certain characters dying (Finnick) oder whatever. It's called a plot, and the Autor has to make it interesting, even heartbreaking, oder the audience won't like it.
Most of the people I know don't like the last book because it's too long *shrug*

I disliked mockingjay mainly because i think Suzanne Collins milked it a little. I thought she could of ended the series in the 2nd book and i kinda wished she did. Yes it would of made the 2nd book a little longer, but i still would've preferred it that way.
I guess this might be because i'm not the biggest fan, i only really liked the 1st book

I think maybe because everyone liked the whole Everlark thing with the feuer and the arena and the dresses and stuff. It's probably because Mockingjay is Mehr about the war + Peeta is hijacked :( Finnick dies :( :( and prim dies! :( :( :(

I actually haven't read mockingjay yet, I'm Lesen Catching feuer right now. :P

I Liebe Mockingjay!It really showed the effects of a war,that there are no winners and everyone can die.Plus the twist where Katniss kills Coin is amazing.And i never liked Gale,so it was rewarding for me to see him punished.I guess some people don't like it because of Kaniss' PTSD and the fact that Finnick died while Annie was pregnant(that happens in real life.My grandmothers father died in a war while her mother was pregnant with her).Overall it was the best written book of the series where we see just how much Katniss has grown as a character.

I think that most people feel that Primrose's death was unnecessary.

Personally, I think that 'Mockingjay' was the best Hunger Games book!

Personally, I didn't hate mockingjay. I enjoyed 99% of the book; however, I felt that the ending was incredibly abrupt and rather disorienting. I had to read the last few chapters multiple times in order to distinguish what was real from what could be considered "hallucinations" oder "dreams". I kept Lesen half expecting a statement like "I awoke from the nightmare only to find myself captured" only written in a Mehr artistic manner than that

I loved it but i think everyone dis liked it because it had a sad ending(prim and finnick both die) but katniss thinks its good to kill coin so theres no Mehr hunger games

It reminds too much of star, sterne Wars "For the Rebellion!"

I actually like it lots and did anyone else weep at "you Liebe me, real oder not real" I tell him "Real", I might cry right now. I Liebe Peeta so much, and Josh Hutcherson ;).
Maybe people don't like it because loads of people die :(
Finnick, Prim; uneccessary err Boggs and everyone else- but people die in all the best Bücher the best Bücher rip Du apart and Du swear Du could kill the author.But it doesn't really dwell on these deaths and come on wouldn't it be awful if peeta died I ...uh would not live...
It's also quite political and warish which the others aren't and we don't see a lot of peeta I hate what they did to him the mutt thing, but it turns out ok
it might also be the Gale thing- and I'm sorry I don't like Gale much can't help it, its sad though that gale and Catnip aren't on the same terms as they begin on but to be honest its a fairly happy end that makes me sad ...huh?
Katniss isn't forced to have kids thoughis she???Peeta is just a bit keen, right?

Mockingjay kind of killed me but it had to to remain in my heart.

I think that some people who don't like Mockingjay don't like it because it might be too complicated to understand oder too violent.

Eh, I was annoyed with this book not because people died but because of HOW they died. In the end, it was all about Katniss and Peeta's romance and Suzanne pretty much gave the other characters the middle finger. Suzanne practically just skimmed over Prim's and Finnick's deaths as if they didnt mean anything. I had to backtrack because there was no emotional weight added to these deaths. Just "They died" then she moved on. Gale's ending wasn't even explained properly oder as good as Katniss' (who with her attitude in this book deserved nothing in my opinion) it just sounds like something Suzanne made up on the spot. In short, the last book shouldn't have been called 'Mockingjay' it should have been 'Katniss and her Liebe interests'.

All the characters were mistreated.
It felt like the book was written in a hurry Von a different author.
(Didn't she cover Prim's death in like a paragraph...?)
It just didn't feel like the first two. I really didn't like it, and I loved the Hunger Games & Catching Fire.

i loved Mockingjay sure a lot of our Favorit characters died but wasnt there a good reason 4 it suzanne collins builds up the supsense and this is why i Liebe mockingjay i Liebe catching feuer better though

I Liebe the Hunger Games Catching Fire, but i'm not as in Liebe with Mockingjay, because it isn't as adrenaline filled as Catching feuer and Finnik dies and it just makes Du sad and depressed because it was unnecessary and Gale's bomb kills prim even though he would never hurt her on perpous (actually in the hunger games when katniss is going off to the games he tries to look after her and if katniss hadn't returned he would have no doubt tried to keep her fed even though he would be killed if caught) i like joanna in it and she is even Mehr hurt Von the games than one first notices.

Some people didn't like Mockingjay because of the deaths, Peeta's hijacking... But hey, it's a war, people are supposed to die, right? Suzan maybe killed off Finnick so that she could emphasize how cruel and sad war is. As for Prim... It shows us that, no matter how big a sacrifice Du out to save a loved one, they can never, ever truly be safe, especially in a case like The Hunger Games. Peeta's. hijack was another of the "hate Mockingjay" points. Hey, he was captured Von the Capital in e middle of the war, of course they would use him as a weapon. It makes sense, because Snow knows that Katniss really loves Peeta. It also shows us that not all good and wonderful people are safe, no matter how many Bücher seem to be, "if you're good and nice, your safe."
The ending. Another hating point. I have to agree, I didn't appreciate the fat that Gale was pawned off, just like that. It was as if he was simply used to help wi the story, then thrown away when his Ablaufdatum datum came. Sigh...
The hunger games is basically a story about war. It shows the cruel reality of war, how hurt people can be and how many losses Du could have. It shows us that no one could ever be safe, sicher in a war. It shows us truth.
Of course, after all that, it doesn't mean I'm not sad about Finnick. I miss him like HELLLLL. I feel sad thinking about it now.. But hey--it's a war!!!!!

I think everybody hates it is because it's just depressing. All of my Favorit characters died oder had something bad happen to them! That's the only reason I hate it! Everything turns out happily ever after though!!! *TEAM PEETA*

I don't hate Mockingjay, I personally think that it's a great book and all, but in my opinion it's one of my least Favorit book in the serious. I mean the ending was amazing because of Peeta and Katniss staying together and also about Gale getting what he deserved because he did, he really did. But so many people that I got to Liebe and like in the book die! I really don't hate it, I just didn't like the whole ending of the book, that's all.

Because Suzanne Collins downgraded Katniss, Peeta, and Gale's characters. Katniss became stupid, Peeta Lost his memory, and Gale became an a**hole.

I think it's somewhat depressing. And some of the best characters were killed. But at least Peeta and Katniss got together in the end and the war stopped.

evrybody hates mockingjay including me becuz of katniss when she feels cold she goes to peeta and when she feels hot comes to gale !!!! i mean who does that???!!! and she plays with peeta and also with gale's heart.Thats why its not a great hit!!!!!!!!

If Du really think about it katniss' story was a lot like any of the other victors stories I mean it's super sad that prim died :( but that's what happened to all of the victors families.The Capitol killed them,well in this case president coin,but this is just the point of view of one person,and that's what happened to them all.

I loved Mockingjay. I know loads of the main characters died but it was never going to be a happy ending for Katniss anyway. She had been out through so much that no matter what it was going to drive her over the edge. Plus there is no war without fatality. I cried for hours at the end. The broke her. Which I find the most painful part of the entire series. I loved it! Probably my favourite in the series. The revolution.

i hated the last book....i luvd Gale...every1 hates him coz its his bomb that killed Prim.....BUT IT WASNT HIS EFFING FAULT....What happened to Peeta wasnt fair either.....and there is the fact that Gale and Katnis didnt stay in touch even though they where best friends.....i agree that it wudnt be a revolution without deaths but there wasnt a need for soooooo much unhappiness in the ends....its also hard to understand as Katnis is narrating it and half the things, she doesnt understand herself....On the whole i think it was the worst book of the series even though i liked the other books....

Personally, I Liebe the Mockingjay as well! I thought it was a fantastic end to the trilogy! But yes, I have heard of MANY different reasons why people dislike oder hate the Mockingjay, so I'm just going to name a few in no particular order.
1) No action. People found it boring, and I admit, some parts did drag on. But if Du compare it to the other two books, it has so much Mehr action to it. The Hunger Games and Catching Fire's real "action" began in the arena, in which that part took less than half of the two books. In The Mockingjay, the action was less noticeable because it was teilt, split in different parts. But I must admit, I really did long for The Hunger Games. Katniss and Peeta's as starcrossed lovers, the drama, the blood, the gore, and feeling Katniss's pain.
Maybe I'm from the Capitol.
2) No Peeta/Crazy?
There was no Peeta in the Mockingjay until maybe half the book? The Fans must have longed for Peeta, and when he came back, he was absolutely insane, so Katniss and Peeta couldn't even spend much time together, therefore eliminating Peeta's appearance in the book more. The only times he showed up basically oder was mentioned was when he was Schauspielen as a jerk oder sagte something witty. I bet the readers longed for Peeta, and I admit, I did too.
3) Finnick's and Prim's death
I agree, I was shocked too, but really, what's a war without deaths? Even the most innocent don't always have such a happy ending. But I believe the reason why many Fans despised these deaths because they felt as if they were too rushed. Too uncomplicated, too easy to slip away from your mind, etc. I was really sad as well though.
4) The Ending
The ending has many parts in which the readers didn't like. Annie's failiure romance, Gale moving to District 2 and the speaking of him after was very little ("pushing him aside"), the epilogue in which Katniss and Peeta have children, and the sadness of the duo.
Again, these are only a few reasons why many dislike the Mockingjay, but really, I have no problems with them. The problems are quite small to me, because I really, thoroughly enjoyed the book. I guess the problem that effected me, as a reader, the most was probably Finnick's, Prim's and everyone's death (because really, I faced so many Mehr Bücher in which a character basically dies in every single chapter -- wink, wink to anyone who has read the Divergent trilogy). But I guess the most I'll agree on is mostly the action and Peeta's absence. I really loved Peeta, and I missed The Hunger Games; but the war was really exciting to read about as well!

i liked it but it was just really slow at the beginning for me and then sped up at the end.
i dont hate it, i just thought it should of picked up the pace a little at some parts.

People didn't like it because it was totally realistic and everyone was hoping for a fairytale ending. Everything that people hated about it - the tragedy, Katniss hating Gale (which was inevitable if Peeta was going to live, but I could write an essay on that), the lack of joy left to any of the survivors. If Du don't think this is realistic talk to anyone who survived a world war. The book was always about the loss of the innocence of youth, and once that happens Du can't go back. Katniss experienced things that most of us will never be able to relate to. All things taken into account, I thought things turned out pretty well for Katniss and Peeta.

Mockingjay is...different. It's not like the first two books. There is no fun. And nothing. I personally found the book quite boring. :(

The biggest problem is it has been come so transparent and predictable...Peeta oder Katpiss should have perished for saviour of the other....the drawing to the end has become and big Yarn of Yawn! ZZZZZZZ!

Not everyone hates Mockingjay. I don't! It's probably some peoples' least Favorit because there is no arena.

I personally enjoyed the book. Although Prim dies I was sad for Katniss because that was the main person she loved and will always love. I was happy that Katniss ended up with Peeta he was meant for her since the beginning. He loved her to death and never abandoned her. I was mad how Gail just left her when she needed him the most. I understand he felt guilty for the bombs, but he never really connected to her (in my opinion). I felt like the Autor rushed the book a little, but insgesamt it was a great book. Team Peeta.

I think it's not only a difference between taste, like between Peeta and Gale. But it was actually a really depressing book, not the whole book of course. But war and death aren't that nice to read about, but important though. So many innocent people die :( Like Finnick and Prim... it just too sad. It was a good book! But not a nice book if Du know what i mean.

I don't know why many dislike "MOCKINGJAY". Honestly, I don't care. All I'm concerned about are my feelings about the story.

I don't completely hate Mockingjay,I think it's the Sekunde best book of the series (the first one obviosuly being Hunger Games) though I disliked it cause:
1-Prim! I mean how can Du kill Prim?! And above all getting her killed Von Gale no that's just not fair.... Du could have killed Peeta instead...
2-Last sentence of the 1st points brings us here,Kat HAD and I underlined HAD to choose Gale not Peeta
3-Finnick,just no he was about to become father....
4-Brings us back to 1st point,I was Lesen the book during French lesson and when I read of Prim's Death I shouted and teacher wasn't happy at all.....

Mockingjay is my favourite book in the triology, actually it's one of my favourite Bücher ever. It was so touching and so real. Suzanne Collins made a Merida - Legende der Highlands choice Von killing Prim and Finnick, but I think it was a necessary sacrifice, it wouldn't be as good if everyone miraculously survived and lived happily ever after. The ending was bitter-sweet, this is why it was epic.

There’s definitely issues with Katniss’s narration, the long timeline, the way so many characters weren’t in control of their own decisions/destinies… but I think the main reason people haven’t responded so well to this book, is that it lacked satisfying payoffs.

This one is the most important to me, because when I invest myself in a story for so long, I like to see that investment payoff. Whereas in Mockingjay, all that fighting ultimately turned into a pessimistic tale about how humanity will never learn. That’s probably true, but it’s a very dark message and not necessarily a SATISFYING one to the story.

The most disappointing payoffs for me were:

•    The promise of the unique character of Peeta coming home, only to have him completely transformed so that there was nothing unique about him. Imagine how the book would have been if he’d been spared the torture and continued to be a Quelle of humanity for Katniss? I think the third book really lacked something without the old Peeta.
•    The mission in the capitol, which is building up to a great climax (at the expense of some really valued characters) only to be derailed Von the events surrounding Prim’s death. I can see how powerful that twist might be for some, but for the majority of readers it felt like being cheated.
•    A suitably appropriate death for Snow – he has been the big baddy for three novels after all, and he ends up dying off screen (?!)
•    Gale’s role in the whole trilogy just became really fragmented – and towards the end he was just written about like he didn’t really matter – most notably after his capture in the Capitol (“oh yeah, he like, escaped, he’s fine”) to what becomes of him after Coin’s assassination (“He’s like, working in District 2 now, he’s fine”).
•    Katniss’s relationships with her loved ones completely crumbled, and as they were her guiding light in the first novel, it felt disappointing that no one really had her back in the end (I’m mainly thinking of her Mom and Gale – where the hell were they during her trial and subsequent illness?).

It might be saying something powerful about war, but it’s also a story, and a successful story NEEDS to have satisfying payoffs oder it just won’t resonate with the reader.

I would say though, that I was really satisfied with one character’s payoff and that’s Buttercup – I thought he was a great character and I loved how he ended up looking after Katniss. That was really well written, and I’m glad it was in there.

While I also Liebe the book I think the reason why most people hate it is because sadly people refuse to accept bittersweet endings in stories anymore. Sure Harry Potter had a lot of death but J.K. Rowling was smart enough to tie it all in a neat little bow with the eplilogue. Collins did not do that. Her ending had some happiness yet but kept the reality of the effects of war very much alive. I find it sad really that so many people are angry that their Favorit character got killed off oder why Gayle had to leave and a lot of nitpick reasons that were properly explained. The only reason I understand are the people who just did not like the book because they thought it was not written well. I disagree but at least that reason just means those readers have different taste. When it comes to the others my Guter Rat is simple. Stop Lesen dystopians. Most Fans like myself expect potentially bittersweet oder sad endings. That does not happen always but when it does we don't hate a book for ending the natural movement of a trilogy that was violent from the start.

So much of the first two Bücher was devoted to Katniss's inner monologue--every thought/decision process explored in meticulous detail. Mockingjay started out that way, but I feel like the end was rushed, like Collins was up against a deadline oder something. There's NO justification for Katniss voting yes on the new Games, very little treatment of her thought process regarding the execution/assassination, and also virtually nothing of her mental recovery back in 12--just a really uncharacteristic self-consciousness the Sekunde Peeta comes back and frowns at her appearance that suddenly snaps her back to wanting to live again...? I feel like those last few chapters after the war was over could/should have been fleshed out so much more. I get that it's a first-person account and she's a shell of herself Von then, but even some jumbled logic during her confinement and some retrospect during the recovery period would have added so much Mehr to the end of such a great series.
