5 am
Dean entered the küche and saw Meg sitting at the table, with a cup of coffee.
“You’re up early” he mumbled. Meg looked up. “I get it” Dean added. “You never went to sleep”
Meg shook her head.
“Yeah, me neither” Dean replied soft. “So, eh, what are Du going to do now?”
Meg shrugged and stirred her coffee.
“You know what I sagte when Cas told me he loved me? I told him to shut up. I never sagte it back” she sagte sober.
“I’m sure he knew that” Dean sagte careful.
“It doesn’t matter” Meg replied sharp. “He’s gone. There’s no need for me to be human anymore”
Dean frowned. “What are Du talking about? Are Du saying you’re going to try and be a demon again?”
“Why not? I Lost my baby and the only man who’s ever loved me no matter what” Meg defended herself passionately. “At least when I’m a demon I don’t have to feel that”
“You’re just going back to your old life, erasing every good thing Cas used to see in you?” Dean asked disgusted.
“Cas is gone and he’s not coming back!” Meg exclaimed, throwing her cup of cold coffee on the floor. She gasped, startled Von her own emotion, and bent through her knees to collect the fragments.
Dean kneeled Weiter to her.
“I’m sorry for what I did” he said. “For causing Du a miscarriage and for being a dick. I just couldn’t get myself around the fact that you’re practically…one of us now. I think I didn’t want to. It was just easier to see Du as a demon” he paused a second. “Cas isn’t dead. Jimmy sagte he was still in there. We just have to get him out. Du can’t give up on him”
He took her hand and pulled her up.
“Let’s get him back” he suggested.
