We still don't know how he got there or what's going on or how they're going to get him back. There's still plenty of Hopper-related mysteries to solve, nerds.

I'm extremely happy with the reveal, because it means a) that's one less thing I have to worry about, and b) they're not gonna try to milk it like TWD did with Skull-Crushing Baseball, which was annoying as hell.

Probably a very unpopular opinion, but I'm not a fan of the constant fake deaths that shows seem to do a lot of these days, it happened between S1 and 2 with Eleven and now again with Hopper and I feel like it's a lazy thing that writers just doesn't seem to have the nerve to kill off popular characters. But if you ask me you shouldn't put the characters in those situations if you're never going to be okay with taking them off the show anyway, it just seems like bad writing. Of course I can change my opinion on that if their explanation for it is good and convincing

Riverdale does the whole Fake death thing every Season as well.

It does confirm that my theory was wrong on where Hopper was, because he was clearly not dead, we would've seen a body. No body = not dead on 99% of shows. I'm really happy to see him in a teaser. I'm now all pumped and excited for the new season and to see how and why he's there :D

I knew he was going to be alive, but I was looking forward to going into the season with the uncertainty and seeing how it plays out. Now the tension is gone. If the trailers aren't spectacular, I won't be dragging my old bones through a full binge on release night. My biggest question has already been answered, so... *shrugs*

Articuno224-you make some very good points. The fake death thing is an obvious cheat…and way too overused. What next? A cheesy dream sequence that never actually happened? Lol

I like Hopper alot. But, yeah I’m with ya…it comes off like lazy writing.
