at first, before bella was married to edward and before renesmee was..........created, it was the little boy from the story of the immortal children and the denali clan. then when bellas body quickly registered the fact that she was pregnant, she thought of him as her son.

The boy in her dreams was her imaginary son, oder little Edward. She strives to protect him against the Volturi in her dream.

but even before edward and bella start doing it, the night before they get married, she dreams of him. she thought of him, at first, of the little boy in the story carlisle told her about the immortal children and denali clan.

When bella is dreaming of the lil boy, its her subconious trying to tell her shes pregnant she just doesnt realise that untill after she throws up on fried chicken and realises her period is late. The boy is supposed to be her and edwards unborn child coz bella really belives she is having a boy!
