Honestly, I usually much prefer anime over cartoons. There are tons of anime I like while the only cartoon I actually like/watch is My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. 😞

I love both and I will never pick one or the other.

Anime has more of an emotional impact on me compared to cartoons, and that's always important when it comes to any narrative for me, so my pick is for anime. I do still love cartoons, but anime engages me more when I watch it.

Years ago I'd have said cartoons, but these days I can't really stand sitting and watching them, even the old school ones I used to love.

Though my all time favorite show atm is a cartoon. Avatar The Last Airbender to be specific.
