Of course it varies person to person but for me short hair is waaaay harder and I've had both. Short hair requires more hair cuts and more hair products and bed head is 1000x worse

As someone with curly hair, short hair was much easier XD Not that I would ever want to cut it short

Hence why I cut it.

By faaaar. At least for me. Mine was extremely thick and it was a hassle just to wash/brush/dye/straighten it.

I've gone back and forth between long and short hair for a while, but most of my life I've had long hair. Although I love having long hair and I'm thinking of growing it out again, it could be a pain. It was hard to keep healthy. I had a lot of split ends and normal products didn't fix them, so I had to cut it.

It's more difficult to manage and takes a heck of a lot more time to straighten.
But I still love having long hair xP
