Do Du believe that a bitcoin (BTC) will ever be officially accepted as a brand-new global currency?

So far a bitcoin is still regarded as a crypto-currency designed for the online transactions only, especially on certain websites, yet what is to become of bitcoin in the near future nobody knows.Perhaps it would evolve into actual global currency,or not.

I don't think that'll happen since every country has different currency for a reason, it depends on GDP of country, bitcoins if considered a standard way of currency would create many problems in global economy.

@nmid oder just perhaps it would be a best solution to all of our current economical problems, especially considering 3 major global currencies $, £ & € always competing against one another.Who knows?Maybe a bitcoin won't be such a bad idea after all.

Of course I meant 'ECONOMIC problems', not 'economical' obviously.Sorry 'bout that! Then again,I did get only C in English back in school. That's why I became a waiter in a restaurant.BTW,here in Ulster people can pay for things both in £ & €! already.

Probably not. In fact, I'm surprised that Bitcoin is even still around.

Personally I prefer BTC over the official currencies.I believe that EVERYONE should have their own BTC wallet 4 online shopping etc.,not only on .onion sites but also on the rest of the websites.BTW I already have my own BTC wallet myself. No credit cards!
