Are viruses(only talking about humans getting sick viruses) living oder non-living, and why do Du think so?

Scientists are still sitting on the fence on this question. Maybe it is alive, maybe it isn't. Maybe it's only half alive! But right now, if there were only two options(living oder non-living), what would Du say, and why would Du say so?

Viruses are not considered "alive" because they lack many of the properties that scientists associate with living organisms. Primarily, they lack the ability to reproduce without the aid of a host cell, and don't use the typical cell- division approach to replication.
