Why do guys like girls with long hair?

I don't know any guys who have a real preference one over the other.
If anything, I prefer shorter hair anyway, and last I checked, I'm a guy.

Well if we were to take courting rituals into consideration, stuff like the peacock come into mind. Prettier, longer, larger decorative things flowing a body is typically a sign of good health and good nutrients, particularly since hair, like a lot of other things are connected to your health. So like healthy skin is attractive long healthy hair would be as well. So naturally it would be within most natural instincts to go after the mates with the healthiest looking decorations. Also if Du would like to think of Mehr theories one might be able to say the actions of flinging hair over the shoulder, oder hair blowing in the wind may be a form of courting ritual amongst humans, something Mehr properly done among people with long hair.

And really. It is true that, generally speaking, long hair is feminine. Generally if Du see a guy with long hair, Du call him a feminine guy as long hair is generally attributed to females and short hair is generally attributed to males. So that is actually a true statement.

Also, whatever reason a guy gives Du is a real reason. Just cause they dont girls with short hair doesnt mean there is this come real complicated explanation.

And lastly, I like hair. I Liebe hair. The Mehr hair the better. I like long hair because I like hair and long hair is Mehr hair. Simple as that.

One of the components of attraction is gender recognition. Think of gender on a sliding scale where some women have Mehr manly features and some have Mehr feminine features. Imagine a woman who has a face similar to that of a man, square-ish jaw, etc. Most men wouldn't find that attractive. In contrast, the average man generally finds breasts appealing on a woman precisely because that feature is associated with a Mehr feminine look. Similarly long hair is Mehr feminine and pretty looks.

Of course some outlier men prefer manly women oder a Mehr androgynous look, but for the average man, that's not the case.

From a psychological point of view I actually learned in one of my classes that it's because the brain unconsciously long hair (as well as big breasts and wide hips) as a sign of health. Because of the human unconscious need to reproduce, whatever seems healthiest is what the person's gonna go for.

Psychology aside I don't think all guys are attracted to longer haired women. I just recently got my hair cut really short and (so far) I've only gotten positive feedback from people of both genders.

And honestly I prefer women with short hair and men with long, for what it's worth.
