Why do Du think people feel attacked oder offended when others criticize the things they really like?

Well for one. If they are extremely passionate about something they tend to be protective and another thing would be that sometimes that "criticism" is actually insults in disguise. I mean if the person who is criticizing a certain Zeigen doesn't use insults and use facts and opinions. Then it's possible your scenario won't occur but if the Fan still couldn't accept that person's opinion. Then it's possible that that Fan is fanatical,extremely obsessive and can't handle opinions. I mean go into the Justin Bieber club,One Direction clubs,Street Fighter Foren and Du will see rabid Fans if someone criticizes their Favorit things. Those groups tend to have alot of fanatic people.

I have been literally attacked verbally for liking certain things. It wasn't just an opinion, nor was it just criticism. They were going far too overboard with it and just started completely insulting me for liking something. So it isn't always just the Fans feeling they are attacked. Sometimes they are attacked so one thing leads into another. And some people are used to being attacked so they automatically defends their Favorit things.

But honestly there are many scenarios as to why they would be offended oder attacked and every scenario is different at times but not always. I mean if someone harshly criticize (And not intelligent criticizm and even if they did do it in an intelligent manner it would also be if they did it in an extremely cruel way) our Favorit stuff, I am pretty sure most of us would be irate at that scenario.

I'm sure that everyone has their own reasons. Everyone thinks and reacts to things differently than the person standing Weiter to them, so pinning down one specific reason as to why someone feels a certain way is difficult and Weiter to impossible to do.

Though I think a majority of people feel offended because they hold the things they Liebe and enjoy most close to them, so much that it becomes part of who they are. My Liebe for Soul Eater is the perfect example of this.

The series is very dear to me, and it's helped to form who I am. Whenever someone puts down the series oder its characters, I get very angry because it's something very important and irreplaceable to me. It's like a dear friend oder family member is being torn from limb to limb before my eyes Von someone who doesn't understand. I think it's the same for a lot of other people, too.

It's a bit silly, really, now that I think about it. But it's an emotion, and important to feel that way. It's a personal thing, and it's part of what makes us human.

Self Pride.

It seems like people get the most offended when it's something they are proud of.

They also take it like you're criticizing them, oder their likes. as in they aren't good enough and need to improve themselves.

At least this is what makes sense to me.
