EG360 here! I was going to name out all of the characters in one article, but then I decided that it would be an overly long article... so this is the way I will do it (and then an Artikel about the Umfrage all together.)

9th Place:
Lyra (HeartGold and Soul Silver)

About Lyra: As most Pokemon Fans know ... unfortunately, Lyra has never been very popular. Many Fans judge her Von her Anime counterpart, who is even Mehr unpopular with the Fans (except for the hardcore pearlshippers who were probably like "Hell yes!" for the cute teasing she did).

But anyhow, Lyra's journey begins when Professor Elm asks her to run an errend for Mr. Pokemon and Elm gives her the choice of a Johto starter. After this, Lyra finds a strange boy outside of the lab, and when she attempts to speak to him, he shoves her away. He eventually becomes her rival. After the beginning errand, Professor Oak arrives and sees a strong bond between Lyra and her pokemon. He gives her a pokedew and later, Elm sends her to compete in the Johto league.

Her story continues as she defeats her rival, Silver, in battles, disbanding the revived Team Rocket, and becoming Pokemon League Champion. Not to mention that Lyra teached Silver to respect pokemon and see them as living creatures and not tools. And, of course, she then moves on to Kanto, defeats the gymleaders there too, and win a battle against Red, who became Pokemon League Champion three years prior.


Facts About Lyra:
-Her male counterpart, Ethan, is Lyra's childhood friend in the game.
-Unlike Kris, who is also from Johto, Lyra can compete in the Pokathon Dome near Goldenrod.
-Fans refered her as "Soul" before Lyra's official name was released. This was based on how Leaf was named after her game.
-Fans assume that Lyra is just Kris, but Takao Unno claimed that he designed her from scratch (which even i find hard to believe).

Espeongirl360's Personal Opinion: To be honest, after philosophizing over Lyra's character during the last few weeks, I feel terrible for voting for her to lose so early in the polls. When I first found out they were making a new version of the Johto games, I was so disapointed when I learned that Lyra was going to be the female lead. Everything about her appearance discusted me. .... but now I think she's pretty .... I wonder how the female mind works. Anyway, now that I think about it, Lyra does not deserve the hate she gets. After all, look at what she has done! She made a tainted herz pure. For crying out loud, she beat 16 gymleaders, the elite four, AND two Pokemon League Champions (Lance and Red)! And I must remind Du how she can go in Pokethons. Dawn and May have their contests, Lyra has her Pokethons.
