lol you cant say of course , they fought like once a week for some years ago , and none of them won , they were exactly the same , and then Shanks lost an arm , so Mihawk looked at him as a handicap...My point is , they were equal before , now we dont know....( so you cant just say "shanks ofc")

I think Mihawk could win..but I think it could go either way.

Mihawk is the best swordsman in the world, so if it was a sword fight he would win. but if shanks had his arm back then it might be a different story

We just dont know who would win , we havent seen any of them fight seriously, but we know they were at the same level before shanks lost his arm , thats when mihawk lost intrest in him.. What im saying is we just dont know.

They were tied, but Shanks only has one arm now. He`s at a disadvantage to Mihawk.

Shanks is one of the 4 emperors. I think he would win but it would be very close. I want to see that battle!!

The question isn't about who you like better... Its about who would win. Like a character as much as you like, doesn't mean they will win against someone stronger than them.

Anyway, this is a hard decision, because they are both incredibly strong... It could go either way, or could even be a draw. Its a really hard one to decide. If I had to make a guess, which I did, I would say Shanks, simply because he is quite an epic character.

To expand on my answer above, Shanks is a Haki king. And while Mihawk undoubtedly has Haki, we don't know how strong it is, whereas Shanks has been verified to possibly have the strongest Haki in the One Piece world, probably tied with Rayleigh. Plus, he fought with Kaido briefly, three days prior to the battle of Marineford and came back without a scratch against the man known as the 'strongest beast in the world', not to mention he fought Teach some time before that and got his eye scratched out. He then proceeded to stop Akainu easily and with only his one arm. He's obviously in amongst the strongest characters in the world, being an emperor. On the other Mihawk is a boss. His sword is epic and those slashes are killer, plus he's exceptionally quick on his feet. Such an epic fight it would be.

Shanks is a Yonko. He's much stronger than a warlord.
