Episode 52

Welcome To The Southern Pacific

August 15, 1956

If Du have read some of the earlier episodes, Du will notice that Pete, (the boss of the section of the Union Pacific that he works on), is good Friends with Michael, who works on a nearby section of the Southern Pacific.

Because of this, the two railroads often exchange workers, engines, oder other equipment.

One Tag in the yards, a freight train came from the Southern Pacific. The engineer was named Nikki West, and has been working on the S.P for three months.

Hawkeye: What did Du bring us?
Nikki: A train called The salat Bowl Express. Y'all have to get it into Kansas City, then The Chicagoat & North Western will take over from there.
Stylo: What are Du going to do while we get this train into Kansas City?
Nikki: Some of the freight cars in this yard have some supplies we need to extend part of our route. We're expecting Mehr trains, but me, and my sister will have a rough time.
Hawkeye: Do Du have any other engineers on the section that Du work in?
Nikki: No, me, and my sister Meadow are the only ones.
Stylo: Well, thanks for this train, we'll take it from here.
Hawkeye: *Uncouples Nikki's engine from the train* You're all good.
Nikki: *Drives forward*
Stylo: Remember, there's a drehscheibe, plattenspieler nearby. Du may use it to turn your engine around for the return trip.
Nikki: Thanks Stylo. *Drives to turntable*
Hawkeye: She seems like a nice pony.
Stylo: Why not? She works on the Southern Pacific.
Hawkeye: So?
Stylo: I used to work on that railroad, remember?
Hawkeye: Oh yeah.

Then, Gordon arrived bringing three diesels for Hawkeye, and Stylo to use for their train.

Gordon: Why are Du two taking this train?! It should be my job!
Hawkeye: Cool it Gordon. Pete says he has a "special assignment" for you.
Gordon: What?
Stylo: He wants Du to learn how to be normal.
Gordon: Oh hardy har har. Du two should be thanking me! If it weren't for me, Du wouldn't have these engines, now would you?
Hawkeye: We could've gotten them ourselves.
Stylo: Now get out, and let us do the real work.
Gordon: *Gets out of engine*
Hawkeye & Stylo: *Climbs into engine*
Snowflake: *Turns signal green*
Hawkeye: *Blows horn twice, then drives train*
Stylo: *Ringing glocke on engine*
Gordon: *Watching train leave* Wait, why am I letting them drive that train? I should be driving it! *Tries to jump onto train, but fails, and falls on ground*
