Like oder really like?

So like from my last question, me and my close guy friend have gotten so much closer than ever before. Well now I like him and I've been telling my friends. Well one of my Friends kinda went out and told him that I like him. She told me that he sagte back that he likes me. Now sometimes he can be sarcastic so I'm not sure if he meant like(as we are) oder like like(like a couple). People have been thinking that we go out oder that we should. Does he want Mehr than our friendship right now? He keeps trying to bring up what she sagte everyday, so is he trying to get it out of me? Please help me.
