"Well, this place is a real dive." Ariel stated as she sat down at the booth.
"One of the best dives in Princeton." He sagte as he sat across from her and lay his cane against the table.
She opened up a menu and began to scan for something to order. House merely watched her for a moment. He already knew what he was gonna get. The same thing he always gets when he comes here; chicken souvlaki platter, a beer, and bakalava for dessert.
"So, those test results Du were picking up..."
She looked up at him with a challenge in her eyes.
"Am I gonna need to double bag it tonight?" He asked with his usual snark.
She looked at him half amused and half irritated.
"It was a blood test for iron deffiency and Du won't be bagging anything tonight. This is only a casual outing." She sagte as she closed her menu and leaned back against the booth cushion.
"Outing? That's an interesting word choice. Why not call this a date? Those batting lashes of yours just scream come and get it."
She laughed at his logic and took a sip from the water that had been set out.
"You wish. What do Du recommend I order?"
"Since Du have an iron defficency, your best bet is the baked moussaka. It's got beef, eggplant, potato, and zucchini."
She thought for a moment and then pushed her menu away.
"The chicken souvlaki teller, platte it is." She declared with a self-satisfied grin written across her face. He rolled his eyes, but he really wasn't annoyed. He was turned on.
"Why did Du ask for my opinion if Du weren't going to take it?"
"For fun." She sagte with a chuckle.
"Hmm, I hope you'll remember that sentiment when I get back at you." He sagte in a half-hearted manner.
"Yeah, yeah. So, you're a doctor?" She stated Mehr than actually asked.
"Diagnostician, extraordinaire!"
"Oh,the ego."
"What do Du do?"
"I sit in a funky speiselokal, diner at ungodly hours trying to get twenty pages of my novel done so my editor will get off my case."
"Much Mehr descriptive than I needed. I gather you're another tortured writer?" He sagte with a raise of his eyebrow in amusement.
"You know I really want to klatschen, smack that coy eyebrow of yours." She sagte with a fake pout.
House playfully waggled both of his eyebrows in response. They both couldn't help but to break into laughter.
"You know this is one of the better 'outings' that I have ever had."He admitted.
She sighed and her smile softened.
"Been good so far."
"You know Du happened to decide on the exact same thing that I always order."
"Really? That's either a very good thing oder a very bad one." She sagte with a smirk.
"Well, the night, as they say, is still young."
"Garcon! We're ready to order." House abruptly yelled to the nearest bus boy who could hear.
