I say Voldemort when I'm talking about him, even when I'm typing his name, unless I'm like Harry Potter role playing and my character is afraid of him

Well in the 7th book (the deathly hallows) the is a good reason for it. The name was Tabooed so they could find who sagte it, otherwise i think it is just because people are so scared of the Dark Lord, that they try not to acknowledge him. Acknowledging him would be saying his name, and they are way to scared.

well if Du had a dark wizard who torches people and controls people and scares people till Du cant even go out your own house, people would just call him 'he who must not be named'.
yea if Du were like harry and had to face him, Du would already no its your destiny and Du have no fear on saying his name.
but even though its a movie not saying his name would be of respect to the characters in the movie..

Lesen the Bücher at a young age and a Fan of the movies...I refused to say it until 3rd grade. I usually call him "The Dark Lord" because it's Mehr fun, but I aso call him Voldemort, and the occasional "Moldy-Wart".
