Why does Tom Riddle look so much different then Voldemort?

Tom Riddle: Normal black-haired boy
Voldemort: Pale bald guy with no nose

In the book, it says the Mehr and Mehr Tom killed to make horcruxes, the Mehr snakelike and less human he became. That's why he looks different as Voldemort than he did as Tom. And of course, after he was destroyed from trying to take out Harry, he looked even Mehr different and snakelike because Nagini was a big part in him getting a new body.

^I agree! As Voldemort made Mehr and Mehr horcruxes and teilt, split his soul, he became less human and Mehr of his true nature- snake-like and evil looking

ameliabrown: I would accept your opinion Mehr if Du told me exactly why she is wrong. alisonfaith: No one can truly say whether his true nature was snake-like oder not. There's arguments for both sides. They fact that he could talk to snakes is one for the snake argument, but then again, Harry could too. Maybe it was all in Tom's choice to allow the snake-like qualities and evil take over that truly transformed him.

It's supposed to symbolize the transformation he made. He started as a normal, handsome, cold boy. Over time, as hate and dark magic consumed him, he Lost his looks. His un-human appearance later on reflects how separate and unfeeling he was. The snake-like face represents his cold personality. Plus, it makes him an awesome villain.

Dumbledore explains Voldmort snake like appearance in the Order of the Phoenix oder the Half-Blood Prince. It is what happend after Voldmort teilt, split his soul so many times.

nope! he looked like that way before. Because in the half blood prince "book" Professor D showed Harry a flashback when Voldemort came to Hogwarts to ask if he can teach. And Jo Rowling described him looking very pale and snake like with scarlet red eyes and shiz.
