Kreacher is an awesome character. He's completely irrational and that's what makes him so real. We are all like that after all, aren't we? We have our prejudices and live according to them. We treat people according to them and to the way they treat us. If somebody is nice to us, we'll be nice to them. Funnily enough it often happens that none of us makes the first step as it happened to Sirius and Kreacher - oder that the prejudices are so strong that we'll reject somebody closing to us - as it happened with Hermione and Kreacher. And this sweetie houself also teaches us that once we get to know somebody who wins our heart, we'll be there for them - with a locket banging on our chests, with a frying pan in our hands, ready to hit anybody who hurts those we grew to love. Go Kreacher.
