Well, I think it will be nice, if all the Fans of Harry Potter will tell each other where are they from, how did they become to be interesting in Harry Potter, who is your Favorit hero and why. Let`s talk about yourself, guys :)

Well I'm from the good old US of A, I found the HP series to be interesting because my parents wouldn't let me watch the Filme so I had to read all the Bücher first, then I was hooked when I got my SS copy on my 8th birthday. My Favorit hero....either Dobby oder Neville. They both were strong when needed to be and Dobby just made such an incredible sacrifice; Neville also sliced the shit out of Nagini so that was badass.

I'm spanish; I saw a Harry Potter book for the 1st time when I was 9, I read a few pages and I thought that HP saga was cool; my favourite character in the saga are the Todesser (yep, they aren't AN ONLY ONE CHARACTER but, I can't choose) because I find them so crazy and cool (and Bella is one of the best duelists, and Barty Jr. could escaped from Azkaban and from his dad's house because he wanted to serve his Lord, and... each one has somethig that makes him/her special) ;)

I am from Mexico but I live in the USA. I started Lesen the Bücher in 2004 (after watching the first three movies). I got the first two Bücher as a Weihnachten present that year. I became a Fan immediately. I quickly fell in Liebe with the story and the characters. My hero is Ron. I Liebe him. He is a fantastic guy. Weasley is my King. :)

Hi, I'm Emma, and I'm from Finland. (God, that sounds like I'm at an AA meeting oder something...)
In my old school in Barbados (yeah, I used to live there ^_^) they gave out three badges per class each week: Behaviour, Effort and Courtesy. (Bear with me, please, this is an important back-story) Well, I never got the courtesy badge, but I did get the other ones sometimes... and whenever I did, my mum would get me some kinda prize.
One time, in October 2OO3 (I was eight), she got me Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (yes, I've just learned how to do the italics and will keep shoving them everywhere) when I got the Effort badge.
The best prize I've even gotten.
So anyway, I was hooked. Like, right away. As soon as I finished PS, I begged mum to get me CoS, PoA and GoF (one italics is quite enough for one answer, I think), the only ones that had come out so far. I remember one morning, I sat down and re-read PS-PoA and half of GoF in that one day...
And so on. I got OotP and HBP almost as soon as they were released, because neither a tiny little island like Barbados nor a rather insignificant country like Finland has midnight release parties. -sigh-
And then... the releasing of DH came, and I was at a camp. In the States.
But I got it as soon as I came home, and read it in a day... so all's well that ends well.

My favourite hero... Luna oder Neville, they're true heroes.
But my favourite character would have to be Severus.

Ok,so I'm from Bosnia and Herzegovina(no,we're not in war,haha).I never got a chanse to read HP until I became Fan and bought the books.I saw the first fim 6 years ago,and I loved it!But,I still wasn't a huge fan.I was a kid,and all kids Liebe HP.So after I saw CoS(on TV)I was in Liebe with them.Thet was on December 25th 2006.I'm really sad caouse I didn't became Fan earlier,but still...I am and that's what matters!

I live in America, I started Lesen the series when I was nine but stopped Lesen a few months later because I got bored with it (I was just Lesen the third book) two years and a couple months later on my 12th birthday when I watched POA I started Lesen the Bücher again to try to understand the movie better (It kinda confused me a little) and I've been hooked on since, and my fav character is Dobby. I loved Dobby from the start and he tried to protect and save Harry from danger when he knew the risks and he died protecting the boy who set him free. RIP Dobby

well im from hereford in the UK i 1st heard about harry potter in 2002 when i was 7 they were saying stuff about chamber of Secrets in a newspaper my mom and dad took me 2 see it (at the time i didnt know it was based off a book)
then in 2005 and 2006 i had to read the 1st 4 Bücher for school and i liked them but then i forgot about them untill i saw half blood prince last Jahr then i got rly into it again my sister brought me the Bücher and dvds of the Filme so far

Well the RP-ers did this on the Bellatrix spot, but it doesn't hurt to share. I currently live in Texas, but I am originally from a small town in Ohio. I was the most reluctant among my Friends to get into HP. My first experience was seeing the third film which in line for the film I was surrounded Von kids in capes and I wanted to run away. In college, all my Friends were into HP also so eventually I read the Bücher and decided that HP was actually entertaining. I guess my Favorit hero would have to be Snape, but I Liebe the Weasley twins (despite my choice of character to RP).

I live in California (yea yea CA girl) and I had heard of HP when I was prob in like...maybe third grade? Idk...but read them for the first time last summer. I live in a small town with a big library. I actually saw most of the Filme before I got interested in the Harry Potter stories. I used to fall asleep during the movies. Then I started Lesen fanfiction and all these temrs were confusing me. So I rewatchedd all the movies(cept deathly hollows), read all the books, and read alot of fanfiction. My Favorit hero is Tom Riddle before he went and became a loony. He was cool and mysterious before.

My Favorit hero has been Professor McGonagall for as long as i can remember (although Dumbledore and Molly Weasley are super duper close Sekunden and thirds). McGonagall is tough on the kids but she loves them and will do anything to protect them, Dumbledore, and the school. Plus she has a great sense of humor and sarcasm ;) I've always admired her.

Well im from Australia, and i became interested in harry potter when i was 7-8 years old, i got the first two Bücher from a birthday gift didnt give much thought till the first movie came out when i was 8 and from then one i became an absolute fan
I dont really have a hero in harry potter, i always thought they all are Heroes in a way, though my favourite character is Hermione, her courage to modify her parents memories that would be tough, as well as keeping on Harry's side even if it means danger to her life :) (Im a harry/hermione shipper, doesnt mean i dont like ron/hermione together its just every since Lesen the Bücher i have loved them as a couple)

And some cool fact about me is that i have the same birthday as Rupert Grint :D, 24th August, how awesome, his one of the many favourite actors, cant wait till i see his film wild target!!!

I'm from Germany and I started Lesen HP when I was 7. My friend always took the Bücher to school and read them in the lessons because we were in a very bad class so we learned all very slowly, so we two became bored. I got interested in the Bücher because my friend was such a great Fan and even our teachers sagte that if our marks stay good, it would be better to read than to talk in the lessons :)
But after the first books, it always lasted so long until the Weiter book came out. Of course, every time the series went on, I borrowed the new book from the bibliothek and enjoyed it, but I hadn't the whole story in my head anymore. So some time after DH, I nearly forgot HP :(
Fortunately, I owned OotP and some time ago, I just wanted to read it again. I got into the whole series again, bought all the Bücher and movies, read and watched them again in german and english.

Anyways, she kept going on & on about how awesome it was & i was like "i wanna read it!!!" but she was like "u gotta read the sorcerer's stone 1st!!!" so we went to Bücher a milion & got the sorcerer's stone. when school started back, i started Lesen it, saw all the movies, decided that Bellatrix, Luna, Tonks, and Hermionie are the most awesome characters in the entire world, & the rest is history :)

I am 21 years old, I just turned 21 on July 13th ( big deal in the US, its the legal drinking age-BEER, MARTINIS!ok) My name is Alyssa and I was named after an Italian-American actress named Alyssa Milano best known for " Who's the Boss" and " Charmed", and get this she was the model figure for my Favorit Disney Princess - Ariel. Forgot to mention I share a birthday with Harrison Ford( Han Solo/Indiana Jones). I didnt like Lesen very much when I was young and I was about 9 and still Lesen " kids" Bücher when I should have been Lesen chapter books, so my mom bought my brother and I each a paperback copy of " The Sorcerers Stone" in 98 and I loved it. Then I bought it in hardcover and then I got all the other Bücher as they came out. And when I heard about the movie adaptation in 2001, I was so excited, but I wondered how on earth they were going to do it. But they all have been great. My Favorit Wizard is Snape and Favorit witch is Bellatrix, BUT I hated them both to begin with. They grew on me and I liked them in the movies, so I suppose I have Alan Rickman and Helena Bonham Carter to thank partially. Now I am still a die-hard Fan all these years later and I have a crap load of Harry Potter stuff.

In fact, I din't like o read at all and when I first saw the book, I thought that I could read it the whole year, but read it only in a week. Hello ,Im Australian , I was first introduced to the world of Harry Potter age 5, my ex stepmum to be and my dad read it to me then took me to see the first movie which came out on my birthday and I have been hooked ever since, every Jahr I asked for the Weiter book/dvd for bday's and christmas's. I am now fourteen and feel really connected to the Harry Potter world ,it's helped me escape from my problems with my family. I familiarise myself with Harry and Hermione the most out of the characters simply because there are apsects of them both that I can relate to. I look up to Hermione (Emma) because of her smarts, passion, girl powerness and her loyalty to herself and Friends no matter what anyone thinks (: I aslo realte to Luna cause of her difference from everyone else and how she is an outcast .

I started Lesen out of boredom and actually, OOTP was the first one I read. I became fascinated with the books, especially with one Severus Snape who very fast became my favourite character. I stayed away from the Filme untill I read all the Zurück books. When I finally got to watch the Filme I fell in Liebe with Severus Snape all over again and I also fell hard for Alan Rickman who quickly became one of my favourite actors :) That's my short story, thanks for Lesen :)

*Waves* Ello there, my name is Sarah, and I'm a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! ...In my mind. On the outside I'm stuck in America, with seven amazing books! I grew up in a family of Potter, and the summer before I started third grade, I think I was about eight, I picked up the Sorcerer's Stone, and read it, I finished the series in sixth grade, (I read an immense amount of other Bücher through those years at the same time as HP, mind you) and then I reread the series in about a Jahr and a half, still Lesen tons of other books. I dearly adore the Filme almost as much as the books, and have had the privilige of seeing all of them but number 5 in theatures. My Heroes are Neville and Luna. They both are just amazing, and Luna is kind of that rare pleasant person who is off in their own world of awesome, and Neville is that guy who can't really get it right. I'm kind of like both of them, and I think that's why they're my favorites. I also really admire Dobby! RIP sir, RIP!!!!! Thank Du for Lesen my ridiculasly long and badly spelled ramble. okay bye!

think i was 10-12yrs when i first started Lesen the first book, i didnt like it and put it down. When the first movie came out in 2001, mum and i saw it and i was hooked! After that i read all the Bücher that i could get my hands on and fell in Liebe with the series and the Filme when they respectively came out...the Mehr and Mehr i read the Mehr i couldnt put it down, escape for a few hours into the world of harry potter and the people around him.

Whose my favourite character? Tough question, they all great characters with their strengths and weaknesses. Their different personalities and their life journeys and whatnot, i can relate to several different characters and admire them for their personality traits and acts: Snape, Sirius, Luna, Hermione, Harry and i prefer book ginny to movie ginny :)

I still like it, especially now, when the Filme are almost as good as the Bücher [Let's be real, the first two Filme weren't too good]

Its only 1 Jahr since i became an HP fan, you'll be surprised to hear.I became a Fan in 2009 April - summer vaccation.
Until that, i didn't know anything abt HP.Except that i know its a series of books.My father always compelled me to read Harry Potter Bücher (even though he didn't) when i always complained abt not having enough Bücher to read.But i thought that its a book for intelligent, book-worms(as i didn't know abt it clearly).Then too, one day, at night, i took out one book and started reading.it was the 6th one as i didn't know the order.Obviously,I couldn't understand anything as i didn't know the story and also it was starting where the Muggle Prime Minister meets fondant, fudge and Scrimgeour...I gave it up as a bad job...

Then one day, my sis was telling me the story of Chamber of Secrets and i got a bit interested.She told me the stories of 6th and 7th also.But i was not really listening to her.
Days passed and it was the hols and my sis asked my dad whether the DVDs were there oder not.He sagte it there and she sat there watching the 2nd one.I happened to see that and i badly wanted to see it from the beginning onwards(coz i saw the Ford Anglia nearing liguster, privet Drive).i enjoyed it thoroughly!!i spend my vaccation watching HP Filme (1 to 5) and there wasn't a single Tag in which i wasn't watching....then i thought i could try Lesen the Bücher and did...
OMG!!!!!!!!!!I always exclaimed 'why didn't i read it b4?'
Du know, b4 i bcame a fan, my dad was forcing me to read HP Bücher and watching Filme and now, after i bcame a fan, he's started to beg me to stop Lesen the same Bücher and watching the same movies.when the school days came, i was really a changed person, quite changed.I talked my bff, Aiswarya into Lesen HP.Now, there's no one in my class who doesn't know that i'm an HP fan!

Well, I'm from South Africa. I found out Harry Potter Von watching the moives. My perants weren't sttrict with Filme really, so I've always thought it was cool watching Harry and his freainds. I've only just finshed Lesen the Bücher now, and I must say they are better then the movies, please don't hate me for saying this people.
Mmm, my favourite hero? Okay this is going to be quite ordinary but Harry, he's a strong boy and cares for his freinds deeply. My other hero, yes I have two, would be Draco, he can be strong when he wants to and he's not that heartless person he makes everyone belives he is, well that's what I think. In maney ways, he and Harry are the same.

Hey everyone, I'm Sophie :) I'm fourteen (15 the Tag before DH part one is released!!!) and I live in Vermont, which is in the US for anyone who isn't familiar with US states.

I saw the first movie when I was five and loved it so I immediately went to the bookshop that my family owns in our little town and got the first book. I had learned to read when I was three so I easily read the first book, and then the second, and then the third, and finally the fourth. I waited for two and a half years for OOTP to be released, and then I read it in a week (not bad for a seven Jahr old on vacation at the beach...). At that point, I was already officially *the* Harry Potter Fan of my elementary school. I was totally obsessed, and so I finished HBP in about a Tag when I was nine. Finally, I got the first copy of DH out of the box at midnight at our bookshop's premiere and finished it Von 8 am. Yes, I was one of the Fans that pulled an all nighter :)

Anyway, I've been the ultimate Harry Potter Fan for as long as I can remember and I've literally grown up with JKR's characters. Because I was five when I started, I can't remember a time when Harry wasn't a part of my life.

Um...not sure about hero, but my Favorit character has always been and will always be Fred Weasley. He's the ultimate prankster, he died (I have a soft spot for crying at a character's death), and while he doesn't take very much seriously, he fights for his family and Friends in the battle at Hogwarts. I also Liebe Sirius, Luna, Neville, and Tonks.

i was at the school liarby and i picked it up and stared to read it and cheked it out i live in the usa and i had to read the uk one it was be for 2005 and i was say 7 oder 8 beteen that age well i just Liebe the w twins Fred and goge is the best and when i was that age i tryed to wach the Filme but got scaryed i was only 8 and i wacht the 3 one why i don't know and like i sayed like Liebe don't quit liking unless it's twight then get over it why i like them is Fred Zeigen want he could do in book 7 be4 want happen that they could do magic to and not to just for ticks

I'm from Hungary and already counting down the days till 4th December when I'll turn 18 that is come off age and also celebrate my 10th anniversery with Harry Potter.
My very first HP book was Prisoner of Azkaban, which I got from a friend of mom and dad's for my 8th birthday. I thought the cover was ugly and put it away ('some boyish bullshit'). Ironically, after the Weihnachten holidays I came across the very same - and other - ugly covers in the school magazine. Having a close look at the ominose centerfold at Home I turned to mom "And who the heck exactly is this Harry Potter?". She read the Artikel (I was lazy, Du see) and sagte it was a series of books. I studied the pictures for a while and concluded: So is Harry Potter a girl at all? (we don't have such a name as Harry and in 2nd class Du are not that good at English, okay?) So mom started Lesen my copy of PoA and loved it. Dad even bought the rest of the series for her birthday (back then they were still on talking terms). She liked them so much, I agreed to try and read the first book. After surviving the first 30 pages I fall in Liebe with Rowling's world and instantly became addicted. I started the Weiter school Jahr with Hermione pencil case, vignettes, rucksack and every available merchadise out on the market. I even dressed Hermione on the carnival. We competed at school who could recite the longest parts from the books, who had Mehr HP reliques and who read the series faster. I had the autograph of Dan Emma and Rupert as the Filme came out, We even played short parts from the Filme during class. When I was eleven LOTR 3 came along and I fell for Aragorn. Poor Harry. But 2 years later the sixth book was out and everything started all over again. I could already read in original language which was the cream on the cake - of course, I wanted the English version of all the books. I watched all the Filme and asked for the DVDs (though I always came out from the cinema bullying the current director). The Deathly Hallows was out just when we went on holiday to Crete. I carried along my copy and a giant English-Hungarian (which weighed 20 pounds and which I never opened, of course) to the airport. I spent every morning Von the pool in the hotel (or on the ship) Lesen Harry Potter with a Dutch girl nearby, who was - guess what - also Lesen Deathly Hallows.
Ever since then I don't go on family holiday without a couple - oder Mehr - HP Bücher packed. Harry Potter is perfect for sand beach, cruise ships, airplane and 10 hours long delays, Weihnachten tide family fights and reduce stress walks - why? Harry Potter, Du can take out to the sun.

Hey guys my name is Breann, but call me Bre. I'm from the USA, New Jersey. I'm 14 years old. My birthday is June 17th.

So, what got me interested in Harry Potter? Well, I guess it started out as a kind of tradition, my dad would take me to the new Filme when they came out. A couple years ago, I decided it would be cool to read them, so I asked for the Sorcerers Stone for Christmas. Even though I was so excited when I got it, I wasn't a big reader and the book intimidated me (which I find funny now). Just a couple months ago, in April I believe, I was cleaning out my room & I found the book. I didn't know if I was going to read it, so I put it on my dresser. That night I had a dream that I read it & loved it. Let me tell you, I'm so thankful for that dream! I don't know if I would have read it if I didn't have that dream.

My Favorit character is Sirius, I don't know if that's the same as my Favorit hero. I admire him. It seems he has no fears. FOr example, in GoF when Harry wrote him asking for help, he moved into Hogsmeade, ricking being caught and sent back to Azkaban, probably to receive the Dementors Kiss. When it came to helping those he loved, there was no question. Du can tell he wants to help in every way possible, because when Snape taunts him in OotP about him being practically useless, it annoys him. Also, he had a terrible childhood. He could have easily become a Death Eater, follow in his family's footsteps. But he's bold & he does what he feels is right, not his family. His childhood would have been great, if he had gone the easy route and follow his family's beliefs, get sorted into Slytherin & become a Death Eater, all that. But he didn't. He is such a strong person with strong emotion. Sure, sometimes he could be labeled as a reckless person, but in my mind, that's all bravery. He's one of my heroes, whether he is a real person oder not. I hope that I can stand up to people like that & that I won't give in & do what others want me to do.
