For hardcore HP Fans out there: I have a mission for Du :)

Okay, lately my friend told me that "Harry Potter Fans are basically a cult." ... I had no idea what a cult was. So i looked it up and found that it was"a group oder sect bound together Von veneration of the same thing, person, ideal, etc." And when I admitted to him that I didnt know what it meant until I looked it up, he insulted hp Fans because he was pretty sure that the series even mentioned the word cult at least once. So I made a deal with him, and now if he finds the word cult in the series (he's gonna re-read all the books) then i'll have to do something that he'll make up for me (like a dare almost) so now im nervous wondering if the word really IS in the series, so can anyone help me Suchen for it? i'd really apreciate it! if anyone finds it tell me what book and what page :D thanks! have fun on ur mission!!! :)

Harry Potter, Twilight, Lost, One baum hügel - but Fans of these things are NOT cults Von a long shot. The term is just used as a hyperbolic insult.

nice point, Vixie79. Even if there is the word cult in the series, it doesn't mean that the whole thing is a cult. It maybe telling us of how the Death Eaters worshipped Ol' Voldy. Besides, what right does he have to trample on the past time we love? Is is so wrong to like Harry's story?

haha no im not a guy :P but im pretty sure i know my HP so i made this bet (+ he has told me that he doesnt like hp as much anymore, but i think if i he rereads the series then he'll Liebe it just like i do :) so its almost a win-win

yeah, ur right. i made my mom reread the series cuz she sagte she liked it when she was my age, but me like her, wld grow out of it. i sagte i nvr wld and that she was to reread the Bücher and then update me on her thoughts about it
